RE: So How Many More Times Will I Get This Survey?

I'm on a Mac, and using Firefox 3.0.1 with or without pop-up blocking enabled, I don't see this survey, or any pop-up ad, for that matter.

Is the problem persisting for you other guys? Must be a pain...

No problem Josh, I hope you got some good shots, and I'll look forward to seeing them uploaded. Good thing you were fortunate with the weather, who knows how many dreary overcast days (like today) we're going to be in for for the next few months... And next time I'm the vicinity of Sky Harbor (it'd ...

I personally liked the first version... the second two are little over-saturated/contrasty.

I'd definitely put it in the queue... good luck getting it in!

RE: Japan Spotting Trip

Sorry, yeah my estimate of £50 day included accommodation, food, and getting around/doing stuff, not just eating. If you really wanted, you could get by on £5 if say, you bought a couple of onigiri (rice balls - really good!) and a bottle of water at the convenience store and somehow managed to stre...

RE: Japan Spotting Trip

You should be fine weather-wise, although the end of September is the tail end of typhoon season, so you might get unlucky there. As well, the longer into October you go, the better chance you get to catch the changing of colour in the leaves, which is especially nice if you'll taking pics around to...

RE: Spotting At YVR On Saturday 8/30

Yep... looks like it'll be at least somewhat clear tomorrow. I'll probably head down around 10-ish, but to be honest, I only go to Avis when the wind is from the east. When it's from the west, I usually shoot from the Templeton St. spot (just personal preference... you can get a lot closer to the fl...

RE: Spotting At YVR On Saturday 8/30

Ha ha ha... I was actually going to say that I usually just stand on the roof of my car when I'm at Avis. It beats lugging a ladder around, and I actually get more clearance over the fence than anything short of a six-foot ladder. Mind you I don't know how many shots I've gotten of the pilot staring...

RE: Do You Use A Real Camera (aka. Canon)?

Am I the only one here who shoots Pentax?

I'll admit I do like to do things a bit differently than most...

So as not to be exclusionary to us... uh.... 'others', can we make this a C vs. N. vs. P. vs. S vs....um... anyone shooting Olympus for aviation?

.... didn't think so....

RE: Spotting At YVR On Saturday 8/30

It will all depend on the weather you know... not even the end of August yet, and this weekend has been (literally and figuratively) a wash. I'm hoping the next few weekends will be better, as I want a couple more chances at F9 before they leave for...

RE: Rejection For Dirty/speck, But It's Not Dirt...

Thanks for the input everyone! I'd have to agree that without knowing beforehand, it's not immediately obvious that it's a bird, and I shouldn't expect the screeners to spend too much time trying to figure out if it is or not.

Lesson learned: If in doubt, clone it out!

Rejection For Dirty/speck, But It's Not Dirt...

Just a question for next time for the screeners... I just had an image rejected, and one of the reasons given was "Dirty=speck in the sky". Now I agree that if you look at the cropped image I submitted, above and to the left of the tail, it would seem there was a speck of dirt on my lens or sensor. ...
