I really wonder what Mulally said when he went inside the A380. Even for someone in his position, there has to be at least a bit of a WOW factor.

RE: No Need For The USAir A350 Deal

I think the question maybe should have been re-phrased as "did Airbus need the US/HP deal to green-light the A350? In light of recent events, that would appear to be a resounding no. The deal is still important nonetheless. The loan as it were is really just a discount on the purchase price of the p...

Quite possible that all the airlines that are in a position to order the 787 and have an interest in the short-term already have done so. Other carriers that would be likely buyers are either not in a financial position to do so or not in a buying mood right now. <acronym title="American Airlines (U...

I wish them luck, but unless its operating expenses allow the airlines to offer comparable fares to sub-sonic flights, it would likely meet the same fate as Concorde. Hopefully new materials and technologies will allow this dream to become reality. It would be wonderful.

Would have looked better if they would have extended the theme to the tail. The WN colors on the tail clash with the rest of the plane. And why didn't they paint the winglets (or did they on the actual plane?).

It would appear that the new sales approach is a big factor in their turnaround. Certainly the fact that the 787 caught on in a big way is influential. The way they are packaging the 777/787 combo is a great sales tool. As for "best year ever" I think that would depend on whether they can sustain th...
