Take a look at AirTran. They have cheap flights, plus you have a layover in Atlanta, so you can get pictures of the planes at Atlanta.

I think JetBlue made a smart decision in using LGB instead of LAX. I have never understood why airline insist on using large overcrowded airport when much smaller airports are right near by.

That was a great report. I do not know why they don't say "loss of cabin pressure" also. The only reason why I can think of is they may be thinking of the people who are not comfortable with flying. Sometimes a word like "loss" can make people feel even more uncomfortable.

Jason that is funny that you say that because the last time I flew on Southwest the plane was full of business travelers. Plus, with the economy being in bad shape I am sure more business travelers are having to go with the cheaper fares.

The USA Today had a poll in their money section for 7/12/01 which said that out of 100,000 pax, only .2 % had sent a letter of complaint to the company. I would say that is very good for Southwest.

Here is one statistic about Southwest airlines that I find to be much more important then any other figure. In 30 years of flying they have had no fatalities. Airlines such as United, American, Northwest, and Delta can't say that.

I have never been to that airport, but I have been to a very similiar airport. I flew into Montego Bay, Jamaica which is right on a beach. What I remember the best is when you land it seems as if you could reach out of the plan and touch the water.

I do not have any memories of DAL, but I do know that if you go to www.braniffinternationalairlines.com you can see pictures of Love Field during its heyday. Plus, many people forget that Love Field is where President Kennedy landed that aweful day in November, 1963.

Mostly we flew American, and on occassion we flew on TWA. Now that I think back on it, part of the reason why I did not like 707's was because that is what we always flew on. I saw all these other beautiful airplanes at different airports like DC-10's, 747's, L-1011's I being a little kid I wondered...

You can see the Air Force One that flew President Kennedy's body back from Dallas. I believe that is the one that was used till the government finally got the 747 that they use now. You can see it at the Boeing museum near Seattle, Washington.

Ok, I see your point you are right. There should always, or as much as possible, be service with a smile. I, like you, try not to be demanding when I fly. I figure that by being at least somewhat annonymous during a flight that may make for a more peaceful flight.
