I am becoming a huge fan of EMB, to answer LMP737, the 195 is bigger than a regional jet and I would imagine go AA and not AE, AE has a few 1...

I would like to see Sun Country increase service in and out of IFP, Laughlin is absolutely booming as far as growth, the Home Depot went up a few months ago, hell even <acronym title="MAT Macedonian Air...
Jump to postI will not fly a scarebus or Airtran, stick to Continental and American, MD-11 I found to be a nice ride, DC-9s scare me.
Amen to that Freshlove1, not to mention what they did by making their passenger lists available to the government. Very overated indeed.
Surprised not too see too many Continental fans, I think their service is great..
Kalakaua,
Look at the 737-900, now that's an aircraft!!
Those skinny engines and that chubby look of the 737-200 were horrible!!
JetBlue has brand new planes, employees that haven't asked for raises yet and alot of Capital and they honeymoon period. When the honeymoon ends and the employees start wanting more money and the planes are not new anymore this will end. When JetBlue finds that they have to be competitive with fares...
Jump to postI would never go near AirTran, they should have never been allowed to fly after that O2 incident as Valuejet. Southwest believe it or not is not a bad choice, good planes and you get there on time everytime, no frills but that's their biz, Spirit I hear has improved, Allegiant flies here into Laughl...
Jump to postI think what Jet Blue and NW did was wrong, there is no need to give the government the names of who is flying. Screen the baggage and passengers, give the Pilots guns, make those cockpit doors mandatory on every commercial flight and this would ha...
Jump to postThe 737-200 was not a good plane, those little engines make the plane look ugly, The new 737's have come so far but the 200 was inferior, the MD-80 may be better maintenance wise but to fly on it was noisy and uncomfortable, the Fokker was alot less noisy an...
Jump to postWow, I was considering flyinig to San Juan, I have a open invite to stay there free, but I think I will pass. As for the 757, I am not a big fan of it, I find the new 737-900 much nicer, it's comfortable and quiet. I find the 757 very uncomfortable (Speedbird is right) and noisy, very similiar to th...
Jump to postPeople that live east of ISP are approaching 50 miles or so from JFK, you also have to remember that Southwest is an airline that is designed for short flights, it is how it turns it planes over so well and keeps it on time record so good, someone who lives out near ISP would rather fly out of ISP t...
Jump to postIf only Sun Country would fly from Cleveland to Laughlin!! Or offer some service from JFK!! That would be great..
Jump to postAv8rDal, That crash was discussed under the JetBlue post today, it has not been forgotten, a member at the club I work at lives in Belle Harbor, fortunately he lives off of 132nd and was not hurt, I actually was able to see the smoke that morning though I was a few miles away. There is something abo...

Jump to postWell how do you know? According to what I hear JetBlue is the greatest thing since sliced bread..Who knows if given the choice of another LCC at ISP which would people choose? The market for routes to DC and Myrtle...
Jump to postHard to believe they did this with box cutters, I live in NY and that day was terrible, we lost 2 people at the Country Club I was working at, including a girl who was on the phone with her family while she was trapped above the fire. Some other Clubs lost 40 members that worked in the WTC. I believ...
Jump to postI am not a fan of JetBlue but I think they are missing the point, sure LGA may work, but I think they should have looked into getting some routes out of <acronym title="Islip - Long Island MacArthur (ISP / KISP), USA - New...
Jump to postOf course there are more occurrences with a 737 than a A300, the 737 flies alot more than an A300. The 737 is the most popular commercial aircraft in the world, it takes off and lands more than any other aircraft. So comparing it to the A300 is not a fair comparison..To put this argument to rest, Je...
Jump to postI agree, it may be true that some white trash fly Southwest, but I know alot of rich people that fly them too, I tell you, if I had to choose between JetBlue, Air Tran, Spirit or any of those other LCC I would choose Southwest. They are heads above their competition.
Nik
True, Hey It's a low cost airline, I don't agree with all their practices but they have the best on time record and get the job done, use the 737, plus they fly out of my home base airport ISP, which I love, never ...
Jump to postGoeingboeing,
I love your username! Yea Southwest did good there, maybe one day I will find myself flying them, I would love to try them, but for now its Continental or AA. Love that ERJ-145!!
Nik
LH001, That argument is lame, first of all if you look at commercial airline crash history over the years Boeing and MD and Lockheed dominated the flights, throw in pilot error and weather and its misleading to compare who has had more crashes, I am an Ameri...
Jump to postThat is 7pm here!! I will be watching, yea Southwest attracts white trash big time, its like going to the cheap 30 dollar a night casinos in Vegas, Yikes!!
What about that guy that smelled and was told to leave the plane, good God was that bad..Still Southwest serves a good purpose..
Nik
I have mixed emotioins about that 50-50 split PA34plt, true the first officer was under a hard manuever but I don't think that tail should have failed under those conditions. If it was Ti and not composite that plane would be around today in my opinion.. What do you think?
Nik
I love that show! First thing, that woman yelling at her mom to get out of the wheelchair was staged, that was such acting and not real. That woman was starved for attention, you could tell. Southwest is a very interesting airline, on the surface they don't look too professional, I drove a friend of...
Jump to postUdo, The tail came off because it's plastic, no maint problem caused that, as for the 737's, it's true the early ones had a servo problem in the rudder but the newer 737's are superior to anything scarebus makes, the 737 is the most used commercial jet, Southwest flies the 737 nonstop all day and th...
