RE: My First Time In Honolulu - 1 Photo, Advice Needed

Both the UPS MD11 and the Cathay B-LAF got through. Smile

I'm happy. Smile

RE: Prescreen, Will Taxi Sign Give Mitive Reject?

Now that is simply a great photo! But I'll chime in with my little experience, I also think photography on a bad day really does help you. I got a few photos of the SIA A380 on its first flight into Sydney - but none of them are g...

RE: My First Time In Honolulu - 1 Photo, Advice Needed

I think my screen might have something to do with it as well on the exposure stuff, I've got the Apple A1081 which is very bright. I might run the Spyder on it just to be certain. Thanks for all the advice! I could probably do som...

RE: My First Time In Honolulu - 1 Photo, Advice Needed

Thanks for the advice - but the UPS one is representative of the brightness on that day. What I might do is leave it for the moment, see what it gets, and if it does get flagged for exposure, I'll see what I can do about it. I tried adjusting the exposure a little bit and it loses detail when I do i...

RE: Pilots Detour Passenger Planes To View A380

On a United Airlines flight recently, (863) we pulled up almost beside a Singapore A380. The crew certainly let the passengers know about it. The reaction was just as I'd expected - the usual ooh's and ahh's. But more interesting ...

RE: My First Attempt At Putting A Photo On Here

I tried again on the weekend, and achieved much better results (to my eyes). I'm more aware of the elements - and more aware of what to look for on the photos (grain, etc) when importing them. I'll try putting up another image and see how I go. <img src="/discussions/graphics/smilies/smile.gif...

RE: Reject, Mah...

I can see grain on it, but I still think it's a beautiful image. Have it printed large and frame it.

Don't be angry about it, it's a great image for a different type of use. Smile

RE: Can This Be Saved?

That's right - planes look like this in the sunshine of Australia. That looks pretty real to me.

Maybe take the photos early in the morning?

RE: My First Attempt At Putting A Photo On Here

That shocked me a little bit, but I sort of expected it. How close should it be cropped then - a few pixels from the edge? Is it worth more editing on the original (I'm reasonably goo...

My First Attempt At Putting A Photo On Here

This is my first effort at putting a photo up on this site: http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b.../20071027_qf_vhogi_yssy_depart.jpg What are the chances of it getting through? I've read a lot...
