Flown a couple of those in the 2x1 config. The single seat really is like Captain Kirks chair on the Enterprise.. only better. It's the same seat Aer Lingus have for their business class, JetBlue Mint in the USA, Swiss also use it and others as well. It's not that uncommon, it's a commercially avai...

Re: Shortest current flights using A321 or larger

There are several short flights with large aircraft in Asia.

Singapore - Kuala Lumpur is 295 km / 183 US miles. Flying time is around 35 minutes, and sees regular A350 and 777-300ER service.
Emirates flew the A380 between Dubai and Muscat, which is 350 km / 220 US miles.

European pilot here, so answers will differ a bit from how the US does things: As I was exiting I asked the pilots, “do you get paid during the wait?” And they said no. Hourly pay/flight pay isn't really a thing here. Most typical is a fixed monthly salary and daily per diems. We don't get paid extr...

Well, now its Belavia's turn to circumvent closed airspace, as the airline has to fly around EU and Ukranian airspace to reach certain destinations. At present flight BRU783 MSQ-IST continues to operate routing over Russia, all the way aroud Ukaine and Crimea. Due to this routing the flight time ha...

Corporate flying isn't dead. The private jet sector set records during the crisis. When the corona was at it's worst and airlines shut their flights, corporate travel was forced over into business jets. It is still there, it will be back on the airlines again eventually.
