Redngold is right. The recordings are evidence, and are probably top-secret material. I wonder why people would want to hear them anyway, other than to satisfy some sick personal want or need. I wouldn't hold my breath. They will probably never be released.

I disagree. Orlando International is, in my opinion, the best airport in Florida. I've been to SFB. I hope to fly out of there in the coming weeks, so I'll guess I'll see just how much easier it is to use when compared to MCO.

Seiple: It's possible that MCO and SFB are co-terminals of each other. Keep in mind also that MCO is under the jurisdiction of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and that SFB is under Seminole Country jurisdiction. I wish I could see what you see in MSP. Sun Country is on the schedule here at MCO, but I haven't personally seen one of their aircraft in quite some time. I love their new livery and 737-800's. I hope they resume all operations.

I concur with airplanetire. If the 738 is so much cheaper to operate, then why do airlines order 736 anyway? Sure it's for a reason other than out of stupidity. What are the specific advantages and disadvantages of the 736 compared to the 738?

As Dazed767 mentioned, MCO lost its BA 744 service to a 772. Virgin Atlantic also serves MCO with 742 and 744 equipment. In past (the early 1990's) we have also seen scheduled 747 service with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Even so, it is foolish to ban airplanes that carry more than 159 passengers. 159 is just some arbitrary number. There's no reason for it. Passenger count doesn't affect the potential damage a fully-fueled airplane can inflict on a building when used as a missle. Were there any restrictions at LaGuar...

I don't think there are any radius restrictions. US operates a non-stop flight to and from Orlando (MCO) on a A319. I hope Midway survives. Even after yesterday's fiasco with flight 428, I have faith in them.

By the way, flight 428 was delayed for five hours yesterday because of technical problems with the aircraft in TPA.
