I don't know about Europe but here in the USA the overwhelming majority of men are circumcised Traditionally unusual in the Nordic countries. In Finland the health authorities say no need to circumcise boys for non-medical reasons, thus circumcisions are not covered by publicly funded health care.

Finnair actually has some history in the Middle East, they even served Baghdad for a while, the service was axed in 1982 when the Iran-Iraq war started. Back then the Finnish construction industry was busy in the area.

Finnair is one good option for Spain-Asia travelers...Finnair has a fairly acceptable Asia network. Besides of many Finish traveling to Spain for holidays too. In addition to great geography, I’d also argue that Finnair has less LCC competition than OK. Hence, their European network is robust and can help support their long haul network. HEL-BKK expected I think. Finnair's services to Thailand have grown to 21 weekly departures to BKK/HKT/KBV this winter, a new player would be much welcome.

A nice gesture from the Finnish government: They wanted to congratulate everyone in Finland personally buy sending 7 million text messages both in Finnish and Swedish, the local mobile operators did the job for free.

HEL shows good numbers, though this also means it's getting even more crowded in the mornings/afternoons. Especially the Schengen parts truly needs more space and fixing that still takes time.

Finnair opened their longest A350 service last sunday, HEL-PVR (Puerto Vallarta MX) 5,386 nm and 12h 20min. This is a seasonal 1x weekly service. Finnair's OH-LWD also was the first A350 visiting Mexico.

Today AY opened their first scheduled service to Mexico, Puerto Vallarta PVR, with A350. This is a seasonal once weekly service, 5,386 nm/12h make it their longest flight at the moment. They have operated charters to Cancun before, last time with A343.

On Finnair beer and wine (also sparkling) are free on long haul flights in Y, harder stuff available for purchase. On the flights to USA and on the leisure oriented flights (Thailand Vietnam Mexico etc) beer & wine are served free only with the meals.

Finnair opened their direct scheduled HEL-GOI service today, Goa is now served 2x weekly with A333. Previously Goa service was charter based, flown with A321 via Dubai. I remember seeing an AY MD11 at GOI in 1997. Iirc, don't think that was direct either..? Very much possible, AY used MD11 for char...
