It was a delayed EK18. EK17 came in 6 hours late it seems and I spied EK18 climbing out over Salford at ~20.50
Incidentally EK19/20 have two hour delays this evening so not a good day all round!

Anyone know the reason for the extended stay of todays EK A388? It was A6-EDD today. It arrived bang on time at 12:24pm but did not leave until after 17:00, which is 3 hours late!

Emirates crew have told me that they could only be certified on 5 aircraft types (they were not sure whether this was some kind of global law or just something to do with the UAE). So you had one set of crew who could operate;
A332,A343,A345,B772,B773

and another team dedicated to the A388.
