I can see the grain and unfortunately, I get very similar results here in FRA in similar light conditions, and the editing process usually adds to it.

I have the same banding issue with my 7D. Since it's not really noticeable on the edited image, I stopped worrying about it... but would be interested in knowing if it can be avoided.
