I noticed a scheduled cancellation for MCI-JFK on Christmas Eve. MKE-JFK is operating. Performance or aircraft availability? Both…. Loads aren’t looking great…. Plus delays in 220 deliveries…. Usually a 220 flies this route but now they’ve been putting an E190 on it. However, the E190 might be the ...

Jump to poston an ASM cost, the 220 is much better, however many of the markets SKYWEST flies into can not come close to breaking even using a 220 bird. Oh no no, I was thinking more about the majors purchasing the A220 in place of having to fly regionals. I know there’s clauses and whatnot, but if they can’t ...

Jump to postLGA-MCI is getting A220s now. 1x Saturday only until the week of thanksgiving (x Nov 12) then 2x daily except Sat (1x) and all RJs on Sunday. Now going through the week before Christmas but I’m guessing the schedule isn’t finalized that far yet.

Flying back on the afternoon LGA-MCI nonstop on WN yesterday, it was only me and 59 of my closest friends. And yet Delta is upgauging a Saturday frequency starting this month. Runs through the end of the finalized schedule right now with November 12 as the exception. looks like A220s throughout the...

Jump to postFunny enough, didn't someone here say earlier that B6 was pleased with the performance? Do you feel B6 will pull the plug? Any idea on how AS and NK performed when they first started? MCI-NYC has far more competition than MKE or even most cities of its size. We have AA, B6, DL, UA & WN. It also...
Jump to postIn what world is that terrible? Its been a slow start for sure but is it really that bad? B6 fares have been fairly low for many cities (from DEN its under $120 for some flights) recently and its MCI loads/marketshare has been steadily increasing. Market share for B6 at MCI for June was at 1.6 whic...
Jump to postDitto for MKE as well. Might be a winter change. B6 commonly used the E190 to ORD, CLE and MSP during their first few years of service as well. Hopefully. That A220 is a NICE plane. Very comfortable ride. A220 deliveries are not coming as fast as they hoped. They moved E90 away from FLL for operati...

The main thing I’m wondering here is if B6 is going to use this acquisition to their advantage and finally fill that infamous hole in the middle of the country that they have. The only 2 new dots they added are MCI and MKE.
Jump to postAlso a private pilot here, and I fly out of MKC. Trying to figure out why a student pilot was flying solo at night. As far as I know solo flights at night are prohibited by student pilots.
Jump to postI agree 100% I have a feeling TUI is doing a marketing blitz and I wouldin't be surprised if some flights are just dedicated for cruse pax. Nice to see MLB on the rise again. Before last Spring it was operated by B717s. I am surprised they use crjs for JFK-MSP. If I ever need to get to MSP, ill use LGA.
They used to serve Sanford. Now they serve MLB. I live a half hour from Melbourne international airport give or take and it's one of the highway it's on my drive to work. A big advantage to MLB over SFB is the fact that you don't need to deal with I-4 to get to the tourist areas. The drive from San...
Jump to postDAB put in for an SCASD grant for AA service to ORD. This would do well. UA flew the route in the 2000s and the only reason it’s gone is because of bad blood over AirTran. Jump to postMCI-MSP on DL is severely downgauged from this time last year when it was all A319s. Now it’s 2-3 CR9 and 1xA320. What happened? Is staffing more of an issue on regionals or mainline?

Jump to postDid a few dummy bookings on B6 into late summer to get a snap shot of loads. Surprisingly, JFK is performing far better than BOS. Jump to postNormally I would agree that this isn't punch/counterpunch, but: a) LFs are terrible on many of these routes, but they are increasing capacity over 2019 levels? b) They are adding MCI/MKE/SAT-JFK right after B6 launches them..... IMO, DL didn't need to add MCI/MKE-JFK since they're already competing...

Jump to postLol! That was predictable. Hopefully they’ll have better luck than their first try back in 2006. Doubtful. Jump to postI'm still surprised DL made no competitive response to B6's JFK service in MCI. They're still doing 4 or 5 E715/CR9 on LGA-MCI. Jump to postThe switch was inevitable. I still think B6 should exercise options for the A221 for markets where the A223 may be too much plane, and for the case of short runways I think the A221 take off distance required at MTOW is 4,800 feet.
