Re: How Much is Traffic Recovering?

I picked up my cousin at MCO yesterday. He flew NK flight 841 from RIC to MCO. The aircraft was an A320. He said literally every seat was full. Packed. That got me to wondering how much traffic has picked up now that Covid vaccines have been widely disseminated in America. As an aside, we have many...

My apologies at all, didn’t see winds that strong where I was, but MD/VA did get some winds. We changed hands again about four years ago (maybe six months after the migration), and not long after, development to the site pretty much halted. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Re: East Coast Wind Warnings/Advisories - Diversions, Effects, etc.

It’s a windy day, big whoop. As a pilot, we’re trained to land on, guess what, windy days. Spring time brings windy days, which in the central plains of the US are called breezy days. Not really big whoop — IAD had a gust yesterday that hit 55kts. That's fairly significant no matter where you are. ...

As with other high caseload countries, they issued a 212(f), restricting entry into the US for foreign nationals who have been in India within the prior 14 days. Antonov 124 just landed on RWY 30! Wonder what she is carrying? A Globemaster (C-17) landed about 30 minutes or so ago as well. If you're talking about IAD, they see some real interesting metal fly in. I flew AMS-IAD and on final I spotted Gambias IL62 hanging out on the ramp. It was a great sight!...

The action has begun. Winds have picked up considerably. IAD using 30 for arrivals. Just watched a Brickyard with a rough landing at DCA using 1. Should have used 33! ANA 9652 went around.
