Great report, thanks. I've been somewhat hesitant to book on DL codeshares...we'll see. The pictures were excellent.

Jump to postHi all, I'm not generally one to post about schedules for an operating period that is still half a year away, but I have been watching Delta's summer international schedule take shape over the last few weeks, and for the first time this weekend they seem to fit the fleet constraints (e.g. last week...

To answer your question, no. I read Skygods: The Fall of Pan Am, and I believe it will give you a great perspective on the subject. To get a bit nostalgic, I flew many PanAm flights when I lived in Miami - they got to know me by name which I don't think happens very often nowadays.
Jump to postNigeria is in bad shape, but it is not even close to being a failed state. Jump to postI can't say I'm surprised, other than the fact that it took this long; Gregg Saretsky told me on more than one occasion that he saw opportunity at IWA/AZA back when he was still an EVP over my division at AS. Jump to postAA management should make a list of everything they want (additional regional jets, productivity improvements, more code shares), tie it in with a longer contract, and let's see what happens. AA pilots have no leverage at all.

And is the DL SNA-LAS really being cut in half or is there some upgauging happening? I'm trying to check on their website and keep getting an error message.
One other point. In many high schools across the country, Advanced Placement Comparative Politics is an elective course. If teachers are doing it correctly, this news will be discussed. FYI, the other five countries that are covered in that course are China, U.K., Russia, Mexico, and Iran. The EU is...

Jump to postMost likely due to the expanding DL/KE codeshare? In addition to new Atlanta-Incheon service, Delta and Korean Air will expand their codeshare partnership, providing customers with greater access to destinations throughout Asia and the Americas. I'd love to see them paint two planes each with larger and billboard style logos. Let the employees vote which one they like the best.

Glad to see this announced. Phoenix-Mesa (AZA) is an excellent airport to travel through. I hope they attract other airlines besides G$. Agreed. Apologies if an answer to this has already been posted before. The old site had a handy feature whereby if a post contained an airport or airline code you could hover over it and a little window popped up with the full name. Can this be re-activated? Was this ever addressed? (Sorry if I missed it!)
