I've really enjoyed both episodes. As a CFI in the US, I must admit I'm green with envy seeing all of these trainees flying Airbuses with less total time than I have.
Nevertheless, it's certainly got me excited to continue moving forward!
I'm yet to hear about somebody going to Houston for specialized doctor treatment. For that, wealthy people are going to Cleveland, Harrisburg, DC and Phoenix, not to Houston. And when they do go to one of those places, they take their private 747SPs with them. Your point No.7 will most likely be th...Jump to post

That's such a bummer. I'm obviously glad they got it back on the ground safely, and that everyone is safe.
I hope it's an easy (read: cheap) fix, and that they can get it back up in the air soon and on its way to KCI.
Besides, I never understood the attraction of duty free in the first place. I mean, who in their right mind would pay exorbitant prices for a bottle of perfume and a cigarette, just to avoid paying duty in the next country??? "You can save $5 in the morning if you pay $10 extra now..." Th...Jump to post
Ummm .... maybe this is where we NON-pilots (I'm an auto mechanic) can suggest simple solutions to repeated potentially deadly problems like landing on taxiways/////// WHY CAN'T EVERY AIRPORT UNIFORMLY JUST PUT A BIG FREAKING BRILLIANT EYE-PIERCING KING-KONG SIZED RED "X" THAT LIGHTS UP A...Jump to post
This thread didn't go the way OP intended.
Well done! That's super cool.
IGU should be changed to IGR. IGU is on the Brazilian side.
Wow. That's just an incredible amount of flights/destinations. I'd be surprised if the protectionist Argentine government granted more than 10% of that. Hope I'm wrong.
Antarctica has no permanent human residents. So let me rephrase then: "I would like to add that JNB is the only airport in the world (as far as I know) that has non-stop service from at least one home carrier from each permanently inhabited continent (not those inhabited solely for research pu...Jump to post
Here's the challenge with going from a sim flyer to real-world flying (and I say this as someone who is working on his Commercial/CFI, and spent an inordinate amount of time on Flight Sim as a teenager): Most people who transition from the sims to real-world don't develop the proper scanning techniq...Jump to post

2 days a week according to their website. Great to see it extended however.
The evidence would suggest they're doing quite well. The flight was supposed to stop in September, but they extended it to October, and it's up to 6 days a week. I'd say it's not out of the realm of possibility to see either a daily service in the summer, a biweekly year round service, or both, at s...Jump to post
I'm not super informed on these types of things, but from what I can gather they don't just happen for any old reason, especially in the middle of the night. Hoping for the best, but kind of expecting the worst. At this point, my question is kind of "which one is it?" Thoughts with all of ...Jump to post
I was a long time AT&T customer, and switched to Verizon about a year ago. I've been extremely impressed. Their customer service has been really helpful, and the network seems to be quite good, as well.
If you have a reason to switch, Verizon is a good option.
AUS 630 - 1220 BOS 319 BOS 1930 - 2310 AUS 319 A late evening departure from Boston will not capture Boston-originating business traffic. The schedule suggests that DL is playing for Austin-originating business traffic. WN and B6 have sub-par schedules to serve that segment. This seems like a smart...Jump to post
To piggyback off GalaxyFlyer, put yourself in the pilots' shoes. An enthusiast innocently wants to know which plane pilots like. Someone comes along and says, "I much preferred aircraft X to aircraft Y." Someone else stumbles across the post and concludes if a pilot doesn't like aircraft Y...Jump to post
Is there any pilots who fly big planes for big airlines that are available to answer my q's now? Man, you've got to chill out. Asking people if they're available to answer won't make them answer. If they're not here, they're not here. In fact, it's really off-putting and would make me less likely t...Jump to post
JL's F product is simply amazing. I flew it in June 2016 NRT-ORD, and really, really enjoyed it. The service was incredibly friendly, even if their English was somewhat lacking. I found that to be true to form for the Japanese; despite any language barrier that may exist, they go out of their way to...Jump to post

Sorry, that was one of the best opens in years. Agreed. I'm actually astounded how someone can look at this tournament and conclude anything otherwise. It shouldn't be surprising that 35 and 30 year olds are still making a mark when they're literally 2 of the best 4 players to have ever played the ...Jump to post
I read somewhere that JL has exclusive offering of Salon Brut Champagne in their international First Class. It retails for approx US$500 per bottle, so its not hard to imagine many thousands of dollars spent each day on that one type of drink alone. My wife and I drank 2 bottles of Salon on our las...Jump to post
Only 150 Passengers so a 757 would have been fine what a waste of money that the fans pay for in ticket prices to support this kind of self indulgence and gross waste of team revenue. Soooo because a destination is successful to LON, it therefore somehow is more likely (than not) to have success to Japan? ....is that the logic we're attempting to employ here? :scratchchin: No, it's more that Austin's metro area has grown leaps and bounds, and it has enormous ties to Japan and As...Jump to post

Sad. CX was always a 747-airline for me. Without the latest VLAs - A380 and 748 - their pax fleet is bland an boring now. I wont consider them any more as a passenger. I'll never understand that statement. It's impossible to dispute that 747 offers the best space for premium cabins (nose & uppe...Jump to post
Great adds for DFW! But as DFW is AA's main connecting hub (or just main hub, period), I wouldn't be surprised to see an FCO flight cut from one of the other hubs that don't have absolutely HUGE O&D. Hahaha "Main hub period". Let's not get carried away here. Just remember which hub pr...Jump to post
Hearsay, but I have gathered that Kirby was really the one responsible for a lot of the product "enhancements" at AA over the last year. If that's true, then good riddance. He's completely eroded any loyalty I had, and many, many others feel the same way. The New AA is a shadow of its form...Jump to post

I would say either DFW-SAT or DFW-AUS. Those two routes were 100% Super 80 until just a few years ago. They are both large outstations close to DFW with near hourly flights. I would've guessed so, too, but have you taken a look at the latest schedule update for DFW-AUS for the fall? It goes to ALL ...Jump to post

Another thing I've observed is when you login, it takes you to the home page, rather than the previous page. This is quite annoying! I'd like it to take us back to the page we were on, especially if we were about to submit content and didn't realize we weren't logged in, we'd lose that.Jump to post

It also spends a good chunk of time detailing...Jump to post
