Re: Washington State Aviation Thread - 2021

As someone who lives in the San Juan Islands, I would love to see more flights out of BLI. A DL ATL-BLI flight would be fantastic, especially if on a A220-300. Part of me wonders if DL could make that work. They could market it to the Canadians as a one-stop flight to Florida or Caribbean. A 2x or ...

I think I'm focused on scarebus34's post about there being no downside for UA in selling tickets on flights that might not even operate since pax can simply be re-routed through SFO or EWR. We all know, however, that many domestic routes have not yet resumed (e.g., SFO-STL/ATL/MSY/IND etc, for whic...

I do not presume that the Covid-forced pushed for restructuring has ended. IMHO it's fair to assume more frames will come on the market. Yes, DL may desire a minimum transaction size, but the benchmark isn't the 88 717s, but the added three 717s or the four Gol 738s.

Something tells me AA will respond to UA's NEXT product. It seems like AA is the only legacy left out. With UA and DL having a superior product, AA will be left behind. In the absence of scope, U.S. carriers would take CR9s over CRJ550s, IMHO.
