About a month ago I was looking at flights, and came across some flights to Florida for $25. I had not flown SYR-MCO, in 7 years. This was also my third time in 2020 flying the jetBlue A320 at SYR. Usually they fly the E190 to SYR. On the day of the flight, I got to the airport a little over an hour...
Jump to postThis looked really familiar. I flew the same flight, also on N658UA in October.

Wonderful report! Wondering what UAL is like these days-contemplating XMas home from IAD. Love the 2nd climbout shot from IAD, you got my apartment! Nice. All my flights on UA were good, I have another flight booked on them through IAD, at the end of next month. That's awesome that I got your apart...
Jump to postDid you have 767 in your log previously? I flew them in the 90s quite a bit, but not since 2008. They've been out of regular service in Australia for over 5 years. Yeah. I have flown on two other 767-300s, both DL. The first was from MXP-ATL. The other was from LAX-JFK, after a 767-400 had a mechan...

Wow, so you basically just booked a joyride across the continent and back? Even so, why didn't you stay one night at an airport hotel at the other end in order to catch up on rest and such?... At any rate, thank you for sharing! I wanted to fly on the 767. The only flight that was on it, was the ov...

Back in August, I found some cheap flights on United. They were only $79 each way. I was taking a few flights on one of my favorite airplanes, the 757. I originally was supposed to be going to Denver, but there was a schedule change. The 757 was replaced, with a 737. After finding a new flight, I ca...
Jump to postTerrible behaviour by the cabin crew. But a nice trip report indeed. And isn't it great to be able to arrive at an airport just 25 minutes before boarding time? I guess that's one of the only advantages of this pandemic. I tried it myself last weekend during my first airline travel in seven months....

Great trip report. Though personally I will be happy they are gone. I did many flights years ago AA YVR-SJC-DFW, a long and loud flight with a stop in SJC as it could not make it there in one shot. As well as BLI-LAS or BLI-PSP with Allegiant. I mainly flew on DL MD-88/90s. I also flew on an Allegi...
Jump to postI had been at home in New York for a few months, during everything going on with COVID. I had my apartment back in Phoenix too. I decided to put my stuff in storage, because I am not sure if or when I will be going back. Back in May, I flew out to move out of my apartment. I had limited options for ...
Jump to postThanks for an interesting and varied TR, and continuing to post to whet our appetites for travel in difficult times. I wish we were able to travel more for leisure. Do you ever come through MSP or DTW with Delta to get back to SYR? I try to fly Delta, whenever i can. They are the airline i prefer, though i usually connect in ATL, DTW or JFK. I've been to MSP a few times, but not nearly as much as the other ones. The MSP-SYR flight is seasonal. It hasn't flown ...
Jump to postThis was from a trip last fall. I had spent the majority of the summer at school. So, I decided to go home in September, for a long weekend that I had. For the flight out I booked myself on the jetBlue redeye, and then on an E190 for the second flight. I had done this flight several times. The morni...
Jump to postI had a quick trip that I was taking down to Charleston. For the flight down, I was on American with a connection in Charlotte. Jump to postNice Trip Report! I have had to take a few flights during COVID, on AA, DL & UA. The flights on DL were definitely the best, in terms of how they handled the situation overall. My flights on American the other day, were very full. There was someone in the aisle and the middle seats, next to me. ...
Jump to postThank for the great report. You are really lucky to be able to get 2 flights on the MD88. I never had the chance to log a 88. Luckily I managed to get 2 last flights on a 83 last year in Taiwan. That's good that you were able to get on the 83 last year. What airline was it? I only flew on two MD-83...

Nice TR! Great to see that UA is offering PTVs on the B737-700, but makes me wonder, if ALL B737-700 are equipped with IFE... What about the ex AirTran examples? I know someone who flew this same flight a few weeks before i did, on another UA 737-700. They said that their plane did not have the PTVs.

At the beginning of June 2020, Delta retired their MD-88/90s. In the weeks leading up to this, I had been debating about taking one last flight on a Mad Dog. I decided 3 days before this trip, to take one last flight on a Delta MD-88 before they were gone. After looking at a few options, I decided t...

Jump to postNice little TR! Strange to see such relaxed procedures with an US airline. Offloading, at least in my company, would result in full safety and security check and screening. Jump to postI guess I hadn't considered that many of the restaurants at even a large airport like LHR will likely be shuttered. Hopefully I don't go hungry. I'm impressed with the bag that DL provided. Great TR. I'm sure some of those sights at normally-bustling airports like ORD and PHX were eerie. The DL flights were better, AA gave out nothing. It was definitely strange seeing the airports empty. DL only had 9 departures at PHX, the day i was flying.
Jump to postI'm curious as to why PHX had ATC delays when there were so few flights departing or arriving. I am not sure the exact reason for the delay. AA just said it was due to "ATC delays".
