ERAU airplane crash in Daytona, wing falls off

This morning in Daytona Beach at the airport where I did the majority of my flight training an ERAU Piper Arrow had the left wing fall off shortly after take off, the aircraft then crashed near the Flea Market and the FAA Examiner and student pilot both died. It is extremely rare to have a wing fall...

Firstly he's not "your" great negotiator; how very dare you! The numbers are so simple, even a President with fat little fingers can do the math. Although under the circumstances, a brand new designation such as T-8UMP might be ordered. You can keep the political jabs to yourself and stic...

The press made a mistake as usual and VC-25C is more likely the new designation.

Gee, that was simple.

Re: Swing Wings: How Did They Die Off?

Up until and including the F-15, the USAF seemed obsessed with speed. The boundary kept getting pushed further and further. Speed was the Holy Grail. One of the best ways to achieve this while still retaining good low speed handling was with the swing wing. The USN also wanted top speed but had the ...

So what airline in the US would maintain it? Since the end of 2017, there are no more airlines from the US that fly 747's. One of my very best friends still flies 747-400's out of the US for a worldwide cargo operation, as do many others. Just because the US isn't flying passengers in them doesn't ...
