I've been wondering which airline would be the next at <acronym title="Columbus - Port Columbus International (CMH / KCMH), USA - Ohio">CMH</acronym>. I kind of figured it would be either Spirit or Alaska. (I'm glad it was Alaska.) I know <acronym title="ACES (Colombia)">VX</acronym> was never a mid...

Thoughts, prayers and peaceful vibes to the families of the victims. It certainly looks like some sort of loss of control situation. The time spent holding and waiting for better weather could've certainly taken some kind of toll on these pilots. pilotaydin's reference to the Tatarstan crash seems l...

RE: What Does B6 Replace The E190 With?

The incumbent always has an advantage, and for that reason I would expect B6 to take a long look at the 190-E2 or even the 195-E2.

Barring that, I would expect them to all Airbus.

RE: Widebody Turboprop: Feasible? Possible?

Agree that the C-130, A400 and C-27 all come to mind when thinking about this. I don't see how TATL routes would ever work. But, could something like this work on a short, fat route? If you could manage to get 200 seats into a turboprop, and still see some noticeable increases in efficiency (vs. jet...

Great video!

Something about the winter conditions, the roar of the engines/wind, and of course, the scale of the aircraft - it all lends a menacing feel to the beast as it approaches.

Very cool.
