It's baffling some most of the EK flights avoiding Iranian space but flight to Stockholm and Moscow went over Iranian space. Agreed. EK212 (IAH-DXB on a 380) just flew above eastern Iraq skirting Iranian airspace, BUT the sister flight, EK211, continued its trait of overflying Iran just a few hours...

Looks like EK flights departing DXB/DWC avoiding Iranian air space. Just checked EK cargo flight to LHR departing DXB and going northerly over Iraq instead of Iran. EK162 to DUB might follow the same path...SIN-LHR SQ avoided Iranian space so as Etihad flight to LHR.

BA has 3 daily LHR-DXB and 1 Daily LHR-AUH LHR-DXB BA 777 is usually G-VII* series which has refurb cabin...however, their refurb cabin are still ancient compared to other carrier....if I am traveling DXB, I would always prefer EK or even EY and then a taxi to Dubai ! that tells you how much I disli...

BA has one of the most outdated and bland cabin product on some of their 777s (G-YMM* series) and crazy thing is, the one with refurbished (G-VII*) is still behind at least 10 years compared to some of the other carriers out there !! Very tragic, RIP all who died the crash. Some pictures on daily mail are heart breaking. Especially the one showing kid's little play scooter in the shattered home. One of the kid had gone to school got back to see his house and possibly parents have been killed...what a trauma :(
