RE: RIP Phil Hill, American Racing Legend

Well I am sorry to hear that. It was announced that he was too ill to attend this year's Historic Car races at Laguna Seca, just a few weeks ago though I guess he did attend, it wasn't really a public appearance. It was Phil Hill who first sparked my interest in Formula 1 when he was driving for the...

Always looked forward to seeing the beast parked at Anchorage. That was a reliable sighting since it so rarely flew! I also remember the last time I saw one flying: Summer of 1970, my brother and I were hiking the ridge north of the Verdi Peak lookout and heard faint turbine and LOUD prop noi...

RE: Can Anyone Identify This Antique Ford?

Back in about 1960 or so "Ford Times" magazine had an article about a guy finding a treasure trove of Model A and even Model T fords in Alaska. He used to drive past this old garage on his way to go fishing and noticed that it had a very old, faded Ford dealership sign. One day he stopped to check i...

That sounds pretty much like the conditional depression that is so common with big life-changes. IF cabin crew do have higher than normal incidence of respiratory problems I doubt that the culprit is the cabin air itself. (Except that it tends to be quite dry - the humidity coming mostly from people exhaling) It is so easy to spread things like that through indirect contact like > sneeze > wipe...
