Jump to postHi,
thank you all for your opinions. Now I'm definitely sure that I won't buy a 20D but most probably a 30D. The differences between 30D and 40D don't seem to be very big (especially for planespotting) so that's imo better to save some price difference for a lens.

Jump to postHi,
probably nothing for a.net. As already mentioned it is too low in frame and also unlevel. 1599px resolution are way too much and I also don't like the lighting. Don't know about the foreground clutter.

Hi, I think 4x optical zoom is just not enough to identify aircrafts as they are just too small in the pictures. Sometimes, depending on the weather and the cruise altitude of the aircraft it is possible to read the registration (at least partly) on the bottom side of the wing which makes identifica...

Jump to postHi, I actually own a Canon 350D but as it's quite old now and I have taken more than 70.000 pictures with it (don't know how, but it's still working), I plan to buy a new camera the nxct days. Jump to postHi,
the first one is lacking in overall quality.
The second and third might be something for a.net, edited and croppe (the An-2) properly.
#4 will get a motive rejection for the cut-off parts.

Hi,
The first two pictures look quite good to me though they are slightly too dark. They also need selective sharpening as some parts appear soft to me.
The third picture is much too dark and blurry. Unfortunately not savable.

Hi, the first two shots need some contrast as they look very flat. The crop of the Emirates closeup looks odd to me.
