UK Demands to have veto over EU future; "As an example, the UK wants to have input into any future application by a third party to join the EU, and for the EU to take into consideration UK interests in any such negotiations. This goes beyond audacious. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1...Jump to post
*I will add that VS is in trouble because the English government won't provide relief because of the 49% investment by DL.* Do you not realize that VS chose to base itself in a tax free haven and doesn't pay taxes in the UK ? So why should the British Gov't be responsible to assist them ? Let Sir R...Jump to post
Would VS ever operate EDI-MCO as well as or instead of from GLA? Is there a reason GLA was chosen over EDI, given both airports operate long-haul flights? TUI have flown EDI-SFB for a few years now, but cant make more than a very limited schedule work. Glaswegians have 3 or 4 main holiday destinati...Jump to post

You are alluding to political skullduggery that’s been going on for time immemorial, the EU has the same option they do not have to accept extensions but they did, it takes two to tango Presumably because the EU don't want to see the remainers in the UK be dragged down by the shambles that the leav...Jump to post

Well the plan was to make MAN a hub for VS, and indeed a few flights this winter have been retimed for this hub operation. That of course is now dead in the water, but interestingly, VS has publicly stated that they will keep the Virgin Connect name, as they are evaluating their next move. Of cours...Jump to post
What a shambles. England dragging everyone else down because it wants to go back to its racist past.

UAE17 A380 had two attempts at Manchester (2nd after holding for quite a while) but now heading back to Europe somewhere. Bizarrely newly A380 compliant GLA is receiving diverts and has Emirates facilities, staff and lounge available. Yes, but has no free stands at the moment. Most UK airports are ...Jump to post

Thanks guys, was just about to give a link but yes taken from the twitter source. As your aware when starting such a thread you should always provide a link to the source! If the original train link was built all those years ago before the SNP decided it wanted to improve EDI over GLA then I suspect the numbers would be a lot better. Glasgow could do with a rebuild of the terminal but that's not going to happen any time soon. The SNP has nothing to do with improving ...Jump to post
A good decision!! Glad it's worked out ok for the captain. In my experience a good portion of heavy go arounds are close to the runway and involve a touch and go. Not for the same reason but it wouldn't have been the first heavy to go off piste at Newcastle!! What heavy has previously gone off at N...Jump to post
Manchester is a nice city. Nowhere near as nice as Edinburgh, but is still a nice city (as long as you stay away from Moss Side). If you want partying in the UK however, then Newcastle is where you head to.
Oh, and there is nothing funnier than an American tourist Pure hilarity

Hi - I’m flying LGW-FUE with TUI on Saturday 21st April at 14:00 and back on the 28th leaving at 19:10. What aircraft will we be on and where can I find this information online? I don’t think charter flight timetables release aircraft info do they? Hi there This is a 737-800 flight Regards Sent fro...Jump to post
Both Luton and Leeds Bradford lack of runway length. Luton has 2.162 meters, Leeds Bradford 2.250 meters. That's too little for a 777, let alone an A380. Stansted has a 3.049 meters runway, so that's much longer. For a flight to Dubai you really need that much runway length. Besides, both those air...Jump to post
