Yes, the pilots were to blame for not declaring a fuel emergency right away which would have given them clearance to land immediately. A friend and I drove to the scene right after it happened we got a glimpse of the plane and that was it.

Very true, plus I forgot about Republic airport which would make the most sense for him. It's literally 5 minutes away from the business he is visiting and both the airport and business are right off the southern state parkway. Which makes his entry and exit quick and easy.

Actually I just found out he arrived today! He flew into Westhampton's airport way out on the eastern end of Long Island. I am still trying to find out what aircraft he used. If someone knows or has something to add please let's hear it!

I wouldn't change my plans because of one incident. Come see this country. If you are going to Vegas take a little time and drive to the Grand Canyon. You will not be disappointed. If you can get to Mount Rushmore see that too. You will be thankful you came here.

Yes that baggage handling sounds terrible and really that is a key service and probably the one responsible for the most complaints. If I use Allegiant in the future it will be for a short hop so I will use just a carry-on!

RNO, Travelocity is probably one of the best. I use it and Expedia. Priceline, in my opinion is not very good.
