Delta 767-200 routes?

Found this photo on the database of a DL 762 at LAX today. Was wondering what routes they flew before they were retired in 2006? Did DL just fly them on regular domestic routes or did DL ever fly them on JFK-SFO/LAX? Also, what did DL replace the 762 with 752 or 763? Any thoughts?

Re: Why no KC-24, KC-11 or A300 MRTT

Was the KC-10B proposed as a KC-135 replacement? I can't find any record of it in a quick search. McD called it the KMD-11 and they pitched to the Dutch Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force looked at second-hand conversions of passenger/freighter MD-11s to KMD-11 as part of their tanker 200...

Would Space Station Freedom proposal exist if Skylab had been saved?

If NASA had saved Skylab in 1979 with Space Shuttle Columbia and extended it's service life by 10-15 years would NASA go on to propose the Space Station Freedom? It's quite possible that as the Shuttle program progresses throughout the 80's NASA would need a larger Space Station to replace Skylab as...

Re: Why no KC-24, KC-11 or A300 MRTT

Was the KC-10B ever a proposal? Yes. The KC-10B / KC-11 would not have offered any appreciable MTOW boost over the KC-10A and since the KC-10A was almost fuel-volume limited, anyway, additional MTOW would not have allowed much additional fuel to be carried. And KC-10A's rarely left at MTOW because ...

Is it possible that after the pandemic AA could add PHL-GRU/EZE with a 789 to compliment the existing JFK-GRU/EZE on the 77W/77E. AA could possibly use JFK-GRU/EZE for O&D and business traffic and PHL-GRU/EZE for feed and leisure traffic. Any thoughts?

Re: Would the KC-25/33 been about to augment the KC-10?

Your're saying that a C-5 can land on short runways and the 747 can not? Cause 747s can land on short runways! But a 747 needs smooth, hard tarmac to do it whereas a C-5 does not. And the C-5 does not need a fully-equipped cargo handling infrastructure to load and unload like a 747 does. Correct. A...

Re: Would the KC-25/33 been about to augment the KC-10?

Why did the KC-25/33 fail? Too big, too expensive, redundant. It was too big to refuel A-10s and C-130s. Also, the pros of having a large offload were already realized with the KC-10. A KC-25 would simply add another fleet type money pit without much value added. For cargo, it was also too big. Sur...
