Well, KLM does all NWA sales, services & ground handling in Europe and many other parts of the world. NWA does all KLM sales, services & ground handling in the USA and many other parts of the world. I don't have to explain how much it would cost extra if each airline apart had to cover the world.......

Lufthansa fixed me seats a few times, although they were not supposed to..

TWA helped me out once, they even let me in when the a/c door was closed & the gate disconnected ...

It's great when collegaes help you out when you have a problem ..

I had a Deux Cheveaux long ago and loved any minute of it. However the seats were ok for << 1 hour ..

I could take out the back seat & sit in the sun, but that´s a different topic ...

Legspace is I think the most important for me (1.92 m) in a economy plus product ..

Delta seats have much, much more recline and there for sleeping comfort then AF´s. The legspace is a full 12 inch more. The seats are much wider (6 abreast on a Delta 777, 7 abreast on AF). I think the food prices you mention are excluding logistics: - extra salary´s of staff involved - airport transport (trucks) - specials meals - maybe extra crew to serve & recollect the stuff - cleaning the aircraft - etc I think this is much more then a few bucks for the sandwich .. cheers kees

I think business class is better on two class carriers like DL, CAl & KLM. Mostly more pitch, bigger seat. They don´t have three seaters with middle seats. CX, SQ, JAL, MH, AA etc. have 7 abreast on 747 & 777. Those middle seats really lock you up.... They don´t have to limit their business class se...

SQ has bought VirginAtlantic at a bad moment. Just before 9-11 hit Atlantic Business travel. However SQ (like most chinese) tend to go for long term investment/strategy's/relations. KLM owns stock, however is taking a distance towards Martinair with regards to their strategy etc.

They are a specialised charter carrier and I think very popular with dutch holiday passengers.
