It's a system spec. SAA and AC ordered it to. I think it looks so nice some people had to have it. Rockwell pulled the plug after taking over Sony Inflight systems. Ask the tech guys on the tech-ops forum ..

In my opinion Volare - KLM cooperation could be successful. Volare could bet on two horses, improving it's domestic services and make SPL its jump station into the US. Ryefly, would be nice, but I'm afraid no alliance is interested in the complete US Airways, too much overlap. Perhaps it isn't the management or motivation of the employees but just being incompatible. Then it is better for the company/employees to break up in more alliance compatible units. Bravely...

Well Volare offering good one-stop connections (great AMS KLM-NWA hub) to all (20 ?) direct daily US destinations. That could put some fire in their revenues.

hmm, these materials are flying around on regular services at this moment but don't let the passengers know what is in the belly, they tend to get nervous.

Before you know it's Radiation Airlines or Geiger Airways, passengers are not realistic ..

A part of the plating came loose during flight (fibration) and was bowed by earodynamic force. It would be replaced this morning.

Passenger were rebooked /put in hotels nearby and leave tonight at 10.

There are worse places to have delay then an extra day in a nice hotel on Curaçao ..

Would it be an option for US Airways to break-up it self in 2-4 independent company's ? This would perhaps solve the problem of overlap they have now in teaming up with other airlines/alliances. In my opinion this is better than a long struggle for life with a devastating end with lots of lay-offs. ...

Malaysian/KLM operate a twice daily AMS/KUL 777/744 flight with from KUL direct connections to every major australian city.

From Ams there are tons of connections to Europe, specially UK.

I think anyone willing to start competing should have a large cash reserve & staying power...

My opinion on PIA is based on observations I don't dare to put on the net and have nothing to do with inflight service.

BTW I have had very good service from NWA in-flight (WBC) & ground staff.

I still think it is stupid to paint an aircraft belly white.

It will become dirty quickly in wet europe and cost a lot of manpower / money to keep it white.

Design choice I guess, not a good sign ...

I think they will paint it grey afterall ..
