I would have loved to been there. Unfortunately I'm in Calgary. But I must say their shows here in the summer were the best concerts I have ever seen. Bono is the king of performers, and The Edge is the shiznit!

Using the term "working hard" while pertaining to picking up woman probably isn't the best philosophy. Woman can smell desperation, and then the game is already over. It's all about confidence, not cockiness that wins the day. And I believe it is possible to get any girl, you just have to know how t...

RE: High Altitude A Part Of Flight Training In The US?

The only time I've gone near the service ceiling of our 172 is during mountain flights. Take it up to 12,000-13,000 for about half an hour to get over a couple of peaks than back down. However I've gone up to 16,000 in our Turbo Twin Commanche, with oxygen though.

I agree with Iainhol on this for starters. If this situation happens again, the terrorists won't even make it to the cockpit. It is the perfect chance for "Joe American" to take the fight to the terrorists with their own hands. But as for the rest of the situation, I still think the best chance woul...

I have been taught as you obviously were Western727 to wait until clear of the runway or finished the landing roll to retract the flaps. The only case I don't do this is on the short field landings. I had one examiner tell me that they discourage raising the flaps on the landing rollout because in t...

Golf courses are also used because they make ideal terrain in the even that an aircraft overuns the runway. Or for us little guys has an engine failure right after takeoff, nothing like a smooth fairway to put her down in. At Calgary we have one course just before the threshold of Runway 34, complet...
