You probably had to get off the aircraft because of fueling, no passengers can remain onboard while the aircraft is being fueled. That and probably some cleaning and stuff was done as well.

Nothing but crap out this year, however there were two standouts: 1) A.I.- great except for the last 1/2 hour 2) Made- Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn do it again, for all of you who liked garbage like Scary Movie 2 and American Pie 2, see this. It's what real humor is.

Calgary International is also on the list of alternates for the shuttle. Runway 34/16 is pretty close to 13,000 feet in length, I think it stands somewhere around 12,700'.

If 34 is active I'm gonna be out by the holding bay, I'll go through my flight school to get out on the ramp. Same place as you BO-einG for 28. But if they are using 16 there is a dirst road that runs right in front of it, you can get to it off of the new Airport road from either Barlow or Deerfoot....

The power setting is higher for 8000 ft. than for 10,000. As well the air is less dense as you go up in altitude.

I also think the business traveller picks up on the fact that AC has a much more modern and comfortable fleet for travelling. I'd take an A319/20 anyday over the older 737-200's, of course right now you may end up on an old Canadian jet, but that will be remedied in time.

As far as I know ATC has different approach procedures for IFR aircraft depending on where they are coming from. Of course they may have just been vectored that way due to other reasons.
