I find clowns creepy. I understand her point about crappy food. However I don't think the clown has much to do with it. In the McDonald restaurants I have known since my childhood (in France), the clown has in fact vanished (but not the games for the kids).

I meant why maglev and not conventional high speed rail ? You can put that in the air too. And on such a short distance, 300 or 500Km/h top speed would not make a big difference, I'm not even sure you could go full speed.
