IndiGo has faced a lot of issues with the GTF engines. The fleet was grounded briefly last year and even now IndiGo can't deploy their neos for ETOPS flights. The switch to LEAP was bound to happen.

IndiGo has chosen CFM LEAP 1A to power the remaining 280 aircraft of the neo family. The order was confirmed at the PAS today. The first 150 aircraft are powered by the PW GTF engines.

Anyways it is for the banks to decide what to do with their NPA account, not the GoI That's theory, not in practice.
