Not quite so rare, but BTV had 3 Sun Country 738s today, also for military charters, and then later this afternoon a JetBlue A320 diversion from BOS.

On another topic, it appears from the terms of the B6-AA NEA that B6 will be staying at BTV. I'm not sure how it would apply to PWM. ORH is closed but maybe that was already confirmed.

BTV at the time also had a robust collection of UA flights to ORD, largely 727-200s. Some people did drive to MHT in those days to fly WN, but I think CO, UA, NW, and US held their own pretty well at BTV. It was UA that I drove to MHT to fly twice. Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) Aviation Thread - 2021

I'd be worried that the A220 is going to be too much airplane for market like BTV and PWM once the E190 goes away. My guess is that something between 9 seats (Cape Air) and 140 Seats (A220) will emerge to provide good markets like BTV and PWM with a reliable right sized fit to serve the B6 network....

Help those people, yes, but at what cost to B6? I think you'd risk cannibalising BTV and to a lesser extent BOS... Obviously BOS is much less at risk, but it might chip away at the margins. BTV, though--different story. B6 has been struggling in BTV since the early 2010s. First it was 4x daily to 3...

I wish b6 would re-try btv-mco or try btv-fll. With cold winter weather soon there will always be some people you can convince to get on a plane for warmer weather. Population and passenger counts tend to grow over time. Some of those airports should grow their traffic to fill the larger aircraft. That is a resonable guess and was option #3. PWM has always done pretty well with its yields, but F9 seeks bargain seekers and it forces the market to decide if they want to put up a fight or back away. BTS numbers for July came out recently, and it looks like it was a big month for BTV-DEN. F9 had a load factor of 93.59%, and UA's mainline LF was 92.19%, which is much higher than any other month this year or last July, so DEN was seemingly a big contributor for them.

Surprised to see no videos of the crash so far. Maybe there are some, but just not being released pending investigation and for the families of those involved?

I got the impression from the FAA briefing that they had seen some video.

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

BTV released their June numbers. Healthy load factors pushed enplanements up +7% despite a slight decrease in departing capacity. Looks like Delta's growth (I believe this is an extra crj9 frequency to both ATL and JFK vs last year) and Frontier helped offset AA's draconian PHL cuts (this year 4x d...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

Is B6 still 3x daily BTV-JFK year round? or do they go down to 2x in the slower months? Seems like jetblue isn't exactly healthy at BTV They're loaded at 3x daily year round. They're load factors have steadily eroded over the past year or two in addition to what I see has been giving up a lot of pr...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

From a quick glance at the plans in the video, looks like the new TSA checkpoint will be added to the right portion of the terminal that is currently part of the apron. Then BTV will be able to remove the temporary container connector that I'm guessing is up and running now? PWM just built a white ...

I found the ATC recordings and they came in as an emergency and a compressor stall was mentioned.

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

BTV is going to have the unusual distinction today of seeing all three of B6's current aircraft models today. B6 34 arrived early this morning with an A320 and B6 1634 is currently en-route with an A321 (Mint even!) I assume this is for recovery from the recent weather problems.

BTV-CLT going to 3x daily in December around Christmas time. Hopefully will start to see some mainline thrown on this route here soon. It seems like this would have been a good time if they wanted to use mainline. That's how DL has handled BTV-ATL, and I would imagine that CLT is similar traffic-wi...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

BTV got UA69 (ARN-EWR). That is the first TATL diversion to BTV that I know of. I saw that. I feel like I've seen TATL diverts to BTV but couldn't tell you what or when...hah, I know, unhelpful...maybe an AC A333 going FRA-YUL? BGR up to at least 9 with KL643 (AMS-JFK, A333) and DI7015 (LGW-JFK) co...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

BGR got five diversions tonight: DL9901 (VCE-JFK, 763), LH404 (FRA-JFK, 748), UA2821 (LHR-EWR, 752), LV9 (ORY-EWR, A332), and DY7021 (CDG-EWR, 789). The latter initially appeared like it was going to YUL but then diverted again to BGR. Must be the first time in a few years that BGR has had five TAT...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

Here’s a schematic of the new walkway to connect the North and South terminals at BTV. So it looks like the walkway will in fact go right through the 2nd floor offices, then punch a hole through the wall at one of United’s mainline gates. Is anyone familiar with the layout of BTV’s administrative o...
