A rather unusual activity at KDEN. They're doing rwy 8 landings!! That's almost a 6 mile taxi to the gate...
Too bad I missed it...

Jump to post1)All Canon lenses have AF.
2)Any Canon lens works with the 300D.
3)depends how much you want to spend. The 18-55 and 75-300 are good lenses but are not Canon's best.
Hope that helps!
Hisham.
It becomes a F/5.6. You'll need a 4 times slower shutter speed to compensate for aperture loss. It sounds confusing because the physical aperture stays the same (The width of the front element). But because the focal length is doubled, the optical aperture is multiplied by two (2.8X2=5.6) The...
Jump to postLast May I saw MS 777s in BEY. This year the schedule shows A320s only. Would you know if they'll upgrade to bigger a/c this May too?
Thanks!

I drove all the way parallel to 16R. I could barely tell the road from the prairie! Most of the roads are covered with grass. But I didn't see any "no tresspassing" signs. The bad news is there's a hill between the fence and the runway. All I could see is the tails of aircraft landing...
Hisham.
A side shot of the whole aircraft at 400mm is way further than the AMS shots shown above. My guess is heat haze. Show us a sample photo.
Hisham.
I took the shot on 96th st. The 737 is approaching 16R.

Frankly, I think you're overreacting. Everyone has been asked to leave at some point. Well, we did our best. It's too bad they won't even talk to us. My guess is nobody wants to take the risk of officially giving us access around the fence. I hope they'll at least tolerate our presence in the old spots.
Hope to see you all soon! (I'll probably be there this weekend).
Hisham.
That's too bad because they're great shots. It is possible that you are locking autofocus too soon. Make sure you half press the shutter button right before you release the shutter. Any lag between the "beep" and shutter release will result in an out of focus photo. Another option is to shoot in spo...

I agree with Staffan. Without the rejected photo, you have no argument.

Vitaly, post your rejected version so people can compare.

That works too... If we can't get officer Romero on the phone, I'm sure he'll find us in the field
If you're going to rwy 26, watch out for "no trespassing" signs. They may have added a couple.
Happy shooting!
Hisham.
Why don't we contact ops directly to find out what happened?
We can say that we want to know which locations we can access before resuming our spotting. Jeff, how about you calling them on behalf of everybody? I have the number if you need it.

They're slightly soft (specially first 2). Try more sharpening.

What is it you dislike about sensia?

It's been almost 2 weeks since the meeting. Jeff, how about calling Romero?

The 300D had a better sensor but LESS flexibility than the D30. It all depends how essential the additional functions are too you. It should reduce the aperture to F/11 as you loose two stops with a 2X converter.
