Will the DL A321 thing mean the end of scheduled 757 service in STL?

Right now we get a mixture of 752 and M88s. Last summer, we got 739s and M88s. This summer, we're getting A321s and M88s. The Mad dogs seem to be a constant variable.

Although they are still separate brands, it's no small operation--35 airplanes and 200 daily flights. Additional possibilities for interlining as well.

Any thoughts on NK in STL? I'm actually a little surprised they haven't entered the market yet. I would also say, while there is some overlap, they aren't the same type of product as WN. It blows my mind that United serves Kearney, Scottsbluff, Devil's Lake, Jamestown, and not Pierre. Even DL serves Aberdeen from MSP. Hopefully it is rectified soon. It may not be DEN-PIR-ATY, but it will at least be DEN-PIR.

Contour is going to use C27. Sun Country is switching to C28. Makes sense because I don't think C28 can handle regional jets since it is setup for widebodies. How much clout does Spirit have in slot wars at constrained airports? I think it should focus on second-tier cities, like their recent adds of Columbus and Asheville. I would love to see some Mid-western expansion (a la IND, STL, OKC, MKE). They have already got the big routes (LAX-DEN, ORD-LGA, etc...

Do you think AS could upgauge FAT-SEA to a 738? They've already had SBA at a 738, and AA runs 738s on FAT-DFW. I think it would make sense.

United flies at least mainline per day to Houston Bush, usually in the evening A random Wednesday June 19th shows IAH with an a319, ORD with a 738 and SFO 2x A320. Probably the most UA mainline I've seen. They run more in summer. DEN had one last year but I think SFO only had 1. ORD didn't have one...
