Bora Bora is cool, but Rarotonga is better - the boarding lounge is on the grass behind a hedge - waiting to board your NZ 747 is magic - the aircraft takes up the whole apron, and dwarfs the terminal.

OK CDG2F is OK - nice glass roof, good view of the tarmac - but no food service and it gets very hot in the sun.

I fear that what the TSA is putting together is the dreaded CAPPS - a computer to decide based on address and contact data provided by the passenger and compared with "commercial databases", whether you the flying public are a terror...

I don't think the L1011 belonging to King Hussein went the same way - I think it was sold to a Saudi Prince - I have seen a very VIP looking L1011-500 at Toulon and Nice this summer, I suspect it is the same one.

Can anyone post a picture of an A320-200 operated by a South African carrier in the late 1980', early 90's - Flitestar, owned by Trek Airways. They had 3 or four A320-200's delivered new I think - can't remember the rego's though.

Thanks.

I'm not so sure about S. of France being better, right now at least - it's 38 degrees centigrade today, humid as hell, packed solid with sweaty, leather-tanned Parisians - you can't get near the sea without tripping over oiled corpses and being deafened by Italians yelling into their mobile phones. ...
