I reckon it'll be mostly used on their domestic Gimpo/Jeju to Busan/Daegu/Jinju/Pohang/Ulsan/Yeosu flights at first. When summer comes, I reckon they might take it off some of their Jeju routes (after all, capacity wise there's no way they can complete with the A330s on the PUS-CJU route for example...

Great report! Sometimes I think the diversity of types flying domestically in Korea is impressive (737NGs, 777s, A320s and A330s) but it is nothing compared to the diversity of aircraft in Korea back then!

I have to say, I am rather surprised by the long haul economy product on Xiamen Air! Having flown long haul on China Eastern and China Southern a number of times, Xiamen's product looks at least ten times better with paper menus, delicious looking food that isn't served in a foil tray and a PTV!

Thank you for your very nice report! MAN is sort of my hometown airport in the UK so its good to see it feature on here. I took their MAN-DOH flight back in 2013 when it was operated by the A330 and the service pretty much looks unchanged since then. Not that that is a bad thing though!

I was scheduled to fly on one of China Southern's 757s from Urumqi to Dubai last April whilst flying from Seoul to Dubai via Beijing and Urumqi. GMP-PEK flight was delayed and so I got rebooked PEK-SZX-WUH-DXB on an A321 and A330. Absolutely devastated considering how rare the type is in Asia.

So this is my take on things, mostly taken from experience. Busan is well connected to East Asia’s main hubs e.g. Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai Pudong, Taipei, Tokyo Narita and of course Incheon thus it is possible to fly almost anyway on one airline from Busan with just one stop.
