RE: Is My Camera Good Enough? - Help Needed!

Maybe, maybe not. Quality is a crucial factor, I think we could judge better if you showed us the picture you've uploaded. A.net standards are very high, but if your image shows something exceptional and/or is of high interest, it might be accepted despite lower quality.

Best regards.

Photo Acceptance - Pre-Screening (Luftfahrer)

Hi everyone, It was nice weather here today, so I decided to go to the airport to take some pictures. Maybe someone can comment on these? I'd really appreciate it. <a href="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/thepilot111/DSC02114.jpg" target=_blank><a href="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii...

Gorgeous shots!
Both look great, no doubt, however I'm not sure if the dark part in the second picture would be a problem. Otherwise, well done, great perspective.

RE: Pre-screening - Phoenix9

You're welcome, I had a close look at tail, area over the windows and titels, it looks like it's suffering from JPG compression. But now that you mentioned picasa, this might be the reason for this.
I don't feel really able to comment on exposure/colors, maybe someone else can.

RE: Pre-screening - Phoenix9

Hi, I'm afraid not. For a start, the picture is not well-cropped, meaning that there is lots of unused space on the right side. 800px width is also very small, 1024px or higher is pretty much the standard. The aircraft appears to be too low in the frame, and the image lacks overall quality... Save i...

Yes, that would be too big to be uploaded here. I assume you haven't resized it yet? For starters, I recommend using irfanview (<a href="http://irfanview.com/" target=_blank>http://irfanview.com/</a>), a basic photo editing tool you can improve your images with. It's pretty straightforward to use. R...

RE: What Are The "must Haves" In AV-Photography

-having the pleasure to fly on a newly-delievered aircraft -flying on an airplane model when it's brand-new (I am already aiming at the Airbus A350) ...should provide some nice photo-opportunities. Those two are my personal 'must-haves' (or dreams). Feel free to agree or disagree. I hope that I can ...

There are definitely dust spots in all images except for the terminal (but it can be that I just don't see them). Try to equalize the pictures to make the dust spots appear more obvious. Still, nice shots  <img border=0 src="/aviation-forums/graphics/smilies/smile.gif" border=0><br><br>[Edited 2009-...

RE: In Cockpit Shots

If you are allowed to take a photograph, then don't forget to ask about permission to upload. I recently had a cockpit visit before flight on a major US carrier, I even sat in the F/O's seat and got some nice pictures, but I didn't keep in mind to ask about uploading. So I decided not to upload them...

RE: Lenses For Sony A200

Hello everyone, I too am looking for a good lens with a high focal length (~400mm). Since the Sony 70-400G SSM was mentioned in this thread, would you recommend buying this particular one? I've got a Sony A200 which came with the kit lens f/3.5-5.6 18-70, so I imagine the above-mentioned lens would ...

Help Regarding Photo Rotation

Hello, I'd like to know whether it's possible to see if a photo needs clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation with the help of Adobe Photoshop? I believe I've read something about this technique here in the forums, but I couldn't find the respective thread. Relying on my eyes is acceptable but sometimes i...

RE: Window View Pictures Criteria

Hello guys, thank you for your feedback. I have some banking photographs, but unfortunately the window was really dirty and had a lot of scratches, hence the quality is far below a.net standard. You can't really see it in this particular image. It was my first flight with my new camera, so I hope fo...

Window View Pictures Criteria

Hello together, this is my first post on this forum. I'd like to know whether a picture that I've recently taken inflight would have a chance to be uploaded to the database. <a href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3614/3486831788_a342882366_b.jpg" target=_blank><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.c...
