I've taken our school's C172SP up to 12,500. Great for hopping over the mountains. Just make sure your only up there for 1/2 hour or less... With two people and about 3/4 tanks we were seeing a climb of about 400fpm from 9,000' and up. Although I have done better in our Diamondstar, the climb is abo...Jump to post
It's all great news and such, just remember that all great nations do fall at some point. We need to look no farther than the history books for that. But as for the present, to each their own opinion. And a quote from a Kubrick film: "These are good times my friends. We're jolly green giants walking...Jump to post
Grapes interview on Rome was one of the great ones. I really enjoyed listening to him. Especially as he started deviating into "English" Canada and Quebec. But you gotta hand it to a man that has the balls to say what most Canadians are thinking, and I love how he ended the interview by letting all ...Jump to post
I remember the last time someone posted about chemtrails on here, the laughs could very well be heard all over the world. But since big brother is watching us and this website of 'contrail propaganda' let me just say this...I love you chemmies. <img src="/discussions/graphics/smile.gif" ALT="S...Jump to post
The Russian's have put this technology to work, they call it a PropFan and have it on one of their newest transports. <br><center><font color="#EEEEEE" size="1" face="ARIAL, Helvetica, Geneva"><a href="/open.file/138607/L/" target="_blank">View Large</a> <a href="/open.file/138607/M/" target="_blank...Jump to post
Continental, come and join us "non believers" as we sign up on the forums over at http://www.chemtrailcentral.com and debunk and generally bug the believers over there!Jump to post
Come and join up, and fight the good fight over at chemtrailcentral.com!
I wonder if any of those goofs have picked up a picture of a plane making contrails, plus the APU putting out a small one as well? That would probably have them jumping to all sorts of new conclusions!
Hey there Beefmoney, I have to say that I picked up on you pretty quickly there fighting the good fight! I have to say that as a pilot as well I am tempted to go on there and back you up, just to give those wacko's someone new to argue with! So your the reason why they have that exclusive forum as w...Jump to post
Oh no! Chemtrail spraying! There is evidence of it all over the pictures on this site! If I saw that out my window I would hold my breath till it was all gone, then I would be safe from the sinister plot of big brother!Jump to post
I believe someone once came onto this site spouting off about Chemtrails and government spraying. Just wondering what most of the regulars on the tech/op's site think about this stuff. Personally I think these people are out of their minds, just go read some of the topics in the forum on this websit...Jump to post

I think most of us in the general public are tired of hearing what celebrities have to say about the war etc...etc... Daniel Day Lewis said it best when he was asked about his opinion on the war: "I think people are tired of hearing the opinons of people like us about it." And that is yet another re...Jump to post
Here's my favorite one, and I 've gotten it from good friends to people I meet: Person: "What do you do?" Me: "I am a flight instructor." Person: "Oh, so do you want to get your commercial license?" Me: smack em upside the head, "I already have my commercial" Person: "So why aren't you with an airli...Jump to post
Maybe he should start taking a boat everywhere from now on. I'm sure Richard Branson could sell him that speedboat he used to cross the Atlantic in record time.Jump to post
You gotta love it when a celebrity is reduced to mind-numbing fear! What type of plane was it? A 747...dear god we lost 1 engine! Had I been on the flight I would have stood up and hysterically yelled "Were all gonna die man!" Ok, it is still early and I'm a little bitter and what not. But still, gi...Jump to post
I'm going to have to go with N79969 here as well Avroarrow. Are you sure it was a 45 knot x-wind at almost 90 degrees? I would have to question the ability of the a/c to handle that amount of crosswind. How could you have had possibly enough rudder to counter that with x-wind controls? As well, what...Jump to post
Wow! The Anchorage tower recorded gusts up to 90 knots! That is incredible stuff really. The worst I have ever seen was down in Lethbridge with winds gusting up to 55 knots or so. A question for any fellow pilots out there, what is the strongest wind you've ever landed in? For myself it would have t...Jump to post
I think they called it Jazz because on the 146's, when the door is opened it reads "azz"! That must have been the only reason for the name switch!Jump to post
Don't know if anyone posted this yet, but the US<acronym title="Air France">AF</acronym> tested a new 21,000 pound bomb today in Florida. The nickname for the bomb is the "MOAB" (Mother of All Bombs), and is supposed to be the replacement for the older "Daisycutter" bombs. Of the 21,000 pounds, 18,0...Jump to post
Hey Mirrodie, us <acronym title="Calgary - International (YYC / CYYC), Canada - Alberta">YYC</acronym>'ers don't get any chances to see aircraft like this all the time. So maybe we go just a 'little' overboard with our eagerness to find out what is happening with it! <img src="/discussions/gra...Jump to post
"12 O'Clock High" The best WWII Bomber movie made....period. Just watch it and see how it puts Memphis Belle to shame. Great acting, and amazing character studies of men at war.
Also I'd have to say "The Right Stuff" is up at the top of my list as well!
Ok, so let's get this all straight: -Yesterday (Mar.4) there was a Antonov 124 here, it was on the news and such, something about picking up oilfield supplies. -But on Friday (Mar. 7) we will be getting the big one...the granddaddy of em all, the 225? Please let's get some concrete confirmation on t...Jump to post
Hang on there Slawko. I've never been one of the people crying about Air Canada and its policies...so my remarks should be taken in the good natured way I intended them.
