There were only three fuselage lengths for the DC-8.

10-50 150ft 6in

62 157ft 5in

61,63 187ft 4in


All of the German Cargo 73s went to Emery. A couple of those are now with ATI.

YIP hasn't been owned by U of M for quite some time. It is owned by Wayne County and is operated by the Wayne County Airport Authority as is DTW.

Togo and Gabon both operated DC-8-50s as presidential transports.

Gabon replaced it's aircraft with a DC-8-63 and had it converted to a 73.

I just took in a couple of rolls to a local camera store. The clerk said she would have to send it to Kodak and it would take 7-10 working days. I have no idea where Kodak is sending it. She also asked me if I wanted plastic or cardboard mounts.

I'll throw another Detroit area long gone airport at ya. Haggerty Field which was located at Ford Road and Wyoming in Dearborn. I remember seeing it shown on some old road maps but I never was able to find anything about it.
