BSL is also home to a few maintenance companies, the most important one being Jet Aviation. They convert peasant jets into government and rich people jets.

AFAIK a damaged aircraft (temporarily) belongs to the insurance. Then the insurance decides whether it's worth to repair the aircraft, or not.

A reliable register of the population (e.g. a duty to notify authorities of someone's death or birth, a duty to notify authorities when moving to another address) would solve a lot of problems in that department. Couple it with automatic voter registration.

99% of fraud allegations would make POOF.

That last, almost 90 degree right turn is intriguing to me, does it leave out or point to probable causes? Not sure if that kind of "sharp turn & great loss of altitude in such little time" pattern is representative of certain scenarios like a graveyard spiral or intentional scenario,...

I don't think we have gotten good info on weather at the time of the crash. I heard they took off into a thunderstorm, or there were storms in the area? If they were in a cloud, my first fear is spatial disorientation perhaps. We have seen this countless times, and would totally fit the high speed ...

I did some further analysis, the aircraft at the bottom had a flight path angle of 87 degrees. zeke, thanks for this analysis. A quick and totally uneducated question: is the 87-degree angle nose up or nose down? It would make more sense that it was nose down considering the speed at which the airc...

I noticed in the data at one point in the decent their airspeed was down to around 124kts, then the rapid increase to over 300kts prior to impact. Any thoughts on that? Just a glitch in the data? I'm wondering if they got themselves into a flat spin trying to recover in IMC? I noticed that too, but...

GalaxyFlyer is right, when one adheres to the SCOTUS ruling. casinterest is right when it comes to the practical effects of that decision.

The ruling is utterly un-democratic because it disadvantages those whose only campaign contribution is their spare time.
