A great hotel that I stayed at was Hotel Marques de Pombal... I don't think it was that expensive, the prices range from 22,000-45,000 (about $99 USD to $204 a night), however, this was in February. It's close to every thing and very nice.

Actually, on my flight back from London, they played The Fight Club which has a crash scene. However, Virgin put a little note in the inflight magazine saying that the movie had a brief but graphic plane crash, so nervous flyers would be aware.
