RE: Headsets...

I know Virgin puts one in your bag of goodies which work great on the plane but are REALLY bad at home,

In 94 when I flew America West you bought a strange looking tube thing for a head set.

I've Had The Shortest By Far!

Get this.... from Newark to JFK! We were supposed to land in JFK, but the fog sent us to Newark. Instead of taking a bus to JFK, we FLEW the 747 to JFK.. a 5 minute plane ride. After 7 hours from LHR and 2 hours on Newark's runway, we were glad to be home.  <img src="/discussions/graphics/smile...

RE: You Might Be A Airliner Freak If....

If you still look on the flight tracker at www.thetrip.com from the flight you took 2 and half months ago. You save everything from your last flight and put it in a "shrine" in your room. The best thing of your last trip was the plane. Heck, the only thing you can remember doing IS the plane. You wr...

RE: Which Aircraft Do You Identify Most Strongly With?

Probably the B747. The last 5 flights I took were a B747 and my first flight overseas just recently from JFK to LHR was on a B747. Every time I look in the sky and see either a B747 or I think I see the Virgin Atlantic logo, I always wish I was up in the friendly skies.

RE: Best Airline

From my handle, my favorite airline is Virgin Atlantic. I have taken many airlines, and Virgin is my favorite hands down. From the games that make the time "fly" by (no pun intended) to the really addicting Virgin Cola, all the free stuff they give you on the seats, and the smoothest landings (even ...

RE: What's The Strangest Routes You've Ever Heard Of?

It wasn't an actual route.. but when we were diverted to Newark when we were going to LHR-JFK, Instead of busing us to JFK.. we took a 5 minute flight to JFK! It took longer to refuel than to fly.

RE: Best Airline In The World?

As you can see from my handle, Virgin Atlantic is my favorite hands down. I have never experienced such a smooth landing, such good airline food, and such a good time on the plane I find my self a month after the flight looking at pictures of Virgin planes longingly!  <img src="/discussions/gra...

RE: Registration Number?

Hello, From what I can remember (The whole trip was a blur  <img src="/discussions/graphics/smile.gif"> ), Virginia Plain did not have Austin Powers on anymore- It had the flying lady and the quote "No Way BA/AA" (British Airlines/American Airlines) Once again, Thank you to all who helped me! I...

What Was The Best/worst Aircraft That You Flew On?

My worst would definately have to be Northwest from Chicago to JFK. The engine was right next to my seat (I forgot the type of aircraft) and I literally could not hear anything and my ears were ringing a day afterword. Best would have to be my most recent flight on Virgin from Heathrow to JFK. I had...

RE: Registration Number?

Hello! Hee Hee, this problem keeps getting more and more confusing. G-VFAB was just an example I used- I know it's not G-VFAB because that was the plane I took going to Heathrow. I have a list of all the registration numbers matching with the names- but I don't know which plane I took! My question i...

RE: Registration Number?

Hello, Thank you for your interest in helping me solve this mystery! On the website www.virgin-atlantic/com there is a list of their airplanes and their names for each one. An example on the page would be this: Name of Plane:Sunkissed Girl Registration Number: G-VKIS Type of Aircraft:A321-200 Starte...

Registration Number?

Wondering if anyone who spends time at JFK or Heathrow or a Virgin crew member could help me, I recently flew Virgin Atlantic Flight #3, from Heathrow to JFK. I know that Virgin names their planes. Does anyone know the regristration number (ex V-GFAB) for the plane that usually runs that flight? Tha...

RE: Virgin Is Changing!

I just flew Virgin, and while the seats were not changed, the amenity kits are different. The toy duck (Lewis) is actually very small, not like a full sized bath rubber ducky. Each kit comes in a colored beach bag (pink, blue, orange, green, yellow) and everything inside it is the color of the bag. ...
