I believe UA has cut DEN-SYR, we were the first upstate airport to get UA service to DEN. I wonder if they’ll transfer the service to BUF or ALB?

Re: Upstate New York Aviation Thread - 2020

Yeah its really smart for AS. The only problem will be the logistical nightmare of rescheduling everything after! Airlines are really use to operating in and out of hubs tough for large airlines if people time out etc. Desperate times call for desperate measures i guess. We could see United IAD-ALB...

Wonder if any airlines will bring the old "tag-on" routes back to the upstate airports? The most recent one I can remember was Colgan running BUF-ROC-BDL and back around the 2005 time period. Before that I remember Delta running ATL-SYR-ROC and the other way on the return. I beleive UA al...

Re: Upstate New York Aviation Thread - 2020

Judging by the amount of route cuts and load factors, I would think that several routes will be cut and not come back when this pandemic is over (SYR-BOS in particular) but I’ve heard other airports have Had less than profitable routes that still operated (before the pandemic).

b6 had 4 planes parked at BUF. Any other NY airports have b6 or any other airlines using their airport as a parking ramp. It will be very interesting to see over the next couple of weeks how ROC, SYR and BUF will be affected with the planned network reductions.
