I was browsing through the B-52 cockpit photos and notices the pilots are wearing oxygen masks. Which begs the question. Are the B-52s pressurized? I know the B-29 was so surely the Stratofortress should be. If it is, then what's with the masks? And if not, why aren't the pilots also wearing G-suits...

Manufacturers can cone up with all the specs they want. But you never really know until well within the flight test program where you find out if it met, exceeded, or fell short of expectations.

I've thought about this too. And came to the conclusion that it may be better as a steam turbine attached to a variable pitch propeller.

IAH-AUA is always marginal and is cut every now and then. I don't think UA gives a crap about a beach destination with horrible yields.
