RE: Should I Even Bother?

764er,
Personally, I like the photo.

Does anyone else feel like they are fighting the natural instinct to NOT look directly at the sun when viewing this photo? (I have to keep reminding myself it's only as bright as my monitor...)

Again, nice shot.

RE: Aviation Practical Jokes

I'm told flight attendants "crop dust" a cabin on occasion. (Fart while walking down the aisle.) And then there's the legend of the "biffy bath." I don't know the details as I know about it third hand. Something about telling the new ramp guy to look up the lav chute, if there's no indicator light b...

I know it barely qualifies as an aircraft, but it does create lift!

Our friends in the former Soviet Republic have made some very odd looking, but cool vehicles, like these ground effects craft.

To claim my interest is merely gory and morbid is to be condescendingly dismissive.

RE: Sept 11th Attack On Washington - Why No Eviden

I am bothered by the indefinite confidentiality of some information that I think should be made public to a certain degree. There HAS to be footage of the AA77 hitting the Pentagon. I would venture to guess (emphasis on *guess*) that the Pentagon is probably one of the most CCTV monitored structures...

I know this is just semantics, but I just want to say I **detest** the word "artsy." Not sure if that stems from the fact that it is often coupled with the words like "fartsy" or "craftsy." I just find it trivializes aesthetic. Would you have walked up to Ansel Adams and said to his face, "Ansel... ...

What I don't get is this "big company" attitude - who's screwing who here? Why should a big company pay more than the market rate for an image? Quite the opposite actually. I've had it. I'm tired of explaining what I am doing and why I am taking photos of airliners and with a long lens. Planespotting used to be very relaxing for me.
