What business jets does Airbus produce? I was in the business for 12 years and know of none.

The Passport isn’t a CF-34 replacement and has the same problem all the re-enginning proposals have—too much weight for the CRJ’s tail-mounted configuration.

The C-Series was the testbed for the G7000, as the joke goes. BBD needs that IP for future airframes and for some current ones.

I doubt Airbus has committed to an FAL in Mobile without a strong hunch they can make more US sales. They know the US market as well as anybody; have planes with many US carriers and the initial operating data from Swiss to back up the marketing pitch.

Not an airline but the most profitable airplane is a chartered Global Express (insert other type here) that cancels within 24 hours of departure. Full charter quote is billed as cancellation fee, not cost incurred. 100% profit.

If Mr. Patel’s airport is the where a airline training academy is located about 40 east of BOM, I’ve been there, good luck finding charts for it in an airline cockpit. I had to ask a Tata Falcon crew to find it.

They climbed to F250 as being the most fuel efficient altitude, undoubtedly.

All in all, a good reason to get rid of the DoC, a wasteful agency, if there ever was one. If Canada wants to subsidize US passengers—great. Heck, Canada could transfer for $1.00 for it matters. It can’t go on, so it will stop and it won’t injure Boeing in the least.

Ah, no they can’t. The owner, DL or a foreign lessor, has to import into the US for DL to operate them. US carriers must register their planes in the US, so someone pays the penalty tariff. Ultimately, DL does.

I overflew Superstorm Sandy at F450; dead smooth and the undercast was at F400 or so. They aren’t at jet speeds that big. Engine loss at the weight we were at would have been a non-event. Pressuzation loss migh5 have been, but even then the plane doesn’t go down vertically.
