First off, ILuv767, last time i checked, skywest was a Delta Connection carrier, not United Express. As far as Im concerned, this whole rumor is Bogeus! If were CEO of UAL this is how I would sort all this out. 732- lease them out for some extra cash! 735-Keep on Flyin. 733-Keep on flyin. A319-Repl...

I believe theyre the old Handley-Page models. But, I could be wrong.
I know that before AA bought them, TWA served Cairo. I know that they were still doing it in 1999, thanks to the North American Airlines Handbook. DL's timetable states that they code-share with SAA to the following destinations: Cairo, Dakar, Banjul, Bamako, Conakry, Ouagadougou, Abidjan, Lome, Co...

I dont mean to sound like a know-it-all, but civil C-17s are called MD-17s.
Apollo13 and Matt D,Critter is talking about SouthEAST Airlines, the Florida based charter carrier, not Southwest. Apollo13, whats with the SW 722??
I think the wave of the future will be all-first-class airlines like Midwest Express. So, if JetBlue spends more per passenger, they will actually be in a better financial situation than Southwest in 10 years or so.
Hooray!! Maybe theyll get rid of the A320s.
Does anyone know how many:
- 707s did Pan Am have at the types peak?
-727-100s did PA have at that types peak?
Responses will be greatly appreciated.

Responding to airways,LH might buy it out and oblivorate its only real competitor that it doesnt own.
Just a thought.
Iwould love to see TW,BI,EA,PSA,RP,and a real new PA, not some leisure airline. Dont we have enough of those?
Last time I checked they had 1 DC-9-30 with 1 on order. I never heard anything about MD-80s!!
Sorry!

Maybe(I hope) theyll return some L15s to service until they can get more 772s in service.
The A330 is an OK airplane, but personally I wouldve bought the 763 or 764. However USAirways might not feel that way. As for HNL, I would route DUL-LAX-HNL,DUL-SFO-HNL,or PIT-SEA-HNL.
I think they should switch to a two-type fleet ,either 764 and 772 or A330-300 and A340-300.

Udo is right. The A340?no way with that many(Ithink 45) 772s around. As for the A330, with BA still perferring Boeing over Airbus, I'd say the 764 is a more likely candidate.

If the Sonic Cruiser (which I think Boeing should start calling the 787) can meet the range of the 744,772.773,MD-11,and A340, I think UAL would be a prospective customer in its quest to chop a few more hours off those long, long flights to HKG,SYD, and the like. L.1011 <img src="/discussions/g...
Jump to postI dont know but I hope they do. I once flew a DL 763 BOS-ATL-TPA and was VERY disappointed. We were 4 hours delayed and experinced severe turbulence throughout the flight. Also, the airplane sounded like it was falling apart. Six Months later I flew the same route on an L10. It was the best flight ...
