Interesting to hear your comparisons in sort of a mini trip report! Did you fly on the new Virgin Premium Economy (ie. leather seats), as rumour has it that this is more comfortable than <acronym title="British Airways">BA</acronym>'s cloth seat. For me, I would expect priority checkin and boarding ...

I love to read any longhaul trip reports, especially if they're in a premium cabin (Premium Economy/Business Class/First Class) on a well-known airline. Royal Silk is business class compared to premium economy, and as such should be a lot better! I have never flown on Thai before either, but take a look at these pages and compare the differences: Premium Economy: <a href="http://www.thaiair.com/Travel_Destination_Information/Inflight_Services/inflig...

Register for free at Flightsim.com, and then do a search here: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/search.htm

Plenty of new textures for the default FS9 aircraft, as well as new models (eg. B767, B757).

Have you tried using the joystick with another game, to see if it's not a problem with the joystick itself? It may be that Windows isn't recognising it.

RE: FSX ILS Approach - Coming Down Too Early

I think I've solved it! I was using the autothrottle for too long, I think. Switiching it off about 3miles away from the runway and then manually controlling worked - I've just tried Glasgow-Edinburgh as a test route, and I touched down perfectly using ILS at the end of a IFR flight.

FSX ILS Approach - Coming Down Too Early

I don't know why this is happening - I'm using the default FSX B737-800, flying from Southampton (UK) to Bristol (UK). Everything is perfect up until about 3 miles from the runway at Bristol. I engage onto the approach in good time with the flaps set at the correct intervals, and then gear down. The...
