If you click on the link to Powwwiii's profile in Aussie18's link it take me to a Profile for Powwwii where it shows no photos at all. If you type Tao Li in the somewhat useless A.net search it doesn't find any hits at all. Perhaps they are just glitches? How many years since the new software?.........

I would suggest that contacting the photgrapher should have been the first thing to do rather post it on the forum. It may well be stolen but the company may have the photographer's permission.

I have seen much worst accepted recently and more easily visible. If the image has to be equalized to see any flaw then it shouldn't be rejected for that flaw.

Thanks for the responses. The problem with poor light is that we have no choice - it's an airshow. It takes place on a fixed day at a fixed time. The alternative is no photo at all. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the motive of your shot Andrew, it is an airliner doing what airliners do, but I suspect that it will still fall foul of a motive rejection.

Airliners.net likes photos to be over sharpened and it is the one thing that most of us have struggled with as it is very subjective and dependent on your monitor. As screeners apparently all have different monitors there is bound to be some inconsistency.

I've read the new proposals again and I suspect that the vast majority of us will see little difference. The proof will be apparent in the next few weeks. It is good that screening inconsistency is being looked at even if the reasons for it in the first place are not.
