RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Although improved, the F70NG will not be able to match CRJ or E170 performance nor selling price nor financing List price will be around 16 Mil. Euro(read below), together with the well known service organization(which is still the "old" Fokker joint), flight hour possibilities, a minimum nee...

RE: NWA DC-10 In N/c Paint Scheme Photos Are Online!

Despite heavy rain and hail storms and being cold and wet to the bone I did manage to make a nice some images. One is on A.net and some others can be seen on my website, will upload a couple more tonight. It's looking a lot better then the old livery but somehow I was also a bit disappointed, for so...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Flying -Tiger is quite right !
We are talking about F70's here initially of course it will be no problem to build F100's as well if there is a demand.

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

hehe, I am really sorry Gamarocchi but the answer is no.
As I am told 3 European, 1 Asian and 1 mystery guest.
Talks with financiers are taking place and it seems that the outcome of this will determine if it will be "yes" or "no".

RE: Future Of MX's Fokker 100s

The only problem with the Fokkers is that Fokker is out of business and not making spare parts Don't know where you got this info from but it is inaccurate anyway. Production of spare parts as well as development never stopped and is still very much alive. Just to set the record straight. Reg...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Latest news from the front. It seems that the required 80 orders have been met. The missing calibers are under construction all ready. The earlier mentioned East European country is the Czech Rep. although a decision where final assembly will take place has not been made yet, could also be Lelystad(...

For the Fokker to compete, it needs a better wing, better avionics and better engines. It might be a good idea to read more posts in this topic before putting in something your self as it is quite boring to repeat <img src="/discussions/graphics/spin.gif" ALT="Smile/happy/getting dizzy"...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Don't think my data is wrong. As I am informed that right now certification is done for 30.000 hops(E170/190 I am talking about) which I quite normal btw. For the people who don't understand: During the certification process take offs and landings are simulated by stressing the airframe, wings and g...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Yeeh where to start ? No one has ever told it was a sure thing, the only thing I told was that right now a lot of effort is put in to investigate what is needed to restart and the final decisions is expected half way this year. Rekkof will not do this on there own as I am told Rolls Royce is one of ...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Why would someone order Fokkers 70/100 if they can order a ultra modern Embraer 170/190? The industry ought move on to newer projects instead going back to very old concepts So please explain to me what is more modern about the 170/190 ? I can't think of anything, besides if more modern means...

RE: SAS To Buy Regional Jets

That's true and indeed it might be part of the deal which is quite common these days. Another thing is that SAS is already very well known with the Fokker support operation because of there large F50 fleet. It is always very nice and cost saving to have a large number of aircraft from the same manuf...

RE: SAS To Buy Regional Jets

Don't think they will go for E175 simply because they will never get required support package. Besides the fact that SAS already had there eyes on the F100 back in 95/96 a deal was never made because they could not get for the right price. Now newly build F100's will be less then half the price so t...

If I am correctly informed they recently acquired 11 F100's from Korean.
1 is to be used for spare parts........ the others to fly with.

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

I agree with you very much so Dons. As I posted several times the mentioned A/C's are no real competition but some people seem to get hurt which of course is not our intention at all. Fact is that a down sized airframe as the A318 and B717 are will never be as economical as a dedicated airframe simp...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Support is not the problem as we........ eh they(Fokker Services) still support the complete Fokker fleet world wide. Support has always been a Fokker strong point btw. One thing on the Rekkof site is not correct however which is that production will take place at old side. This is no longer possibl...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Can't tell you anything more other then all work is not carried out for no reason at all as Stork(Fokker services owner) is not really fond of spending money without return.
The answer will be there in another 3 months or so, guess we just have to wait.

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

Not to hurt anybody but Embraer is really not of the same standard, ask anybody who worked on them and they will tell you the same story. B712 ? no way, sales up to now is telling the story ! The same can be said about the A318. Airliners in this segment of the market are looking for a work horse no...

RE: Who Will Order The New Fokker 100?

I can tell you that right as we speak a lot of work is carried out by Fokker Services Technical department to investigate what is needed to pick up production again mainly in the avionics area as some items are not available anymore. However a completely new auto pilot(Collins) was already developed...
