I am curious why Vistara opted for the B777 when it could have picked Jet’s A330 which would have allowed their A 320 pilots to be cross trained to the A 340.
Could the 4 B777 be heading to Vistara ?
Regarding who is repoing 77Ws, it could be Goyal cashing in. A shell owner asks a (brand name W) trust manager to manage the asset and a (brand name C)servicer to manage the lease. Very easy to hide the actual owner, by the time CBI follows the paper trail, too late. Imagination - George RR Martin ...Jump to post

DGCA de-registers 83 aircraft of Jet Airways -de-registers 67 B737s, 8 ATRs, 2 B777 and 6 A330s -considering requests for de-registeration of 11 more planes -considering requests for de-registeration of 3 B737s, 6 ATRs, 2 B777s Now unless you are an advanced computer science student you should know ...Jump to post
So Spice in the end did end up getting the most amount of slots. I love how they don't release by what system they decided the slot allocations. If you followed the news you'd know the only criterion for allotting slots was the ability to induct aircraft without cutting domestic capacity elsewhere....Jump to post
No good deed goes unpunished, for outing the Jet's slot distribution plan which forced SG to share slots with others, What exactly happened? Was it illegal? Do you have a credible source to back your claims? Your statement is barely comprehensible. Indigo will be taught a lesson. Who will teach Ind...Jump to post

So why do you think Vinay Dube continued to say that int'l ops were lucrative for the airline and that the airline should expand internationally during those days ? I have no way of knowing why he said that. It was the same Vinay Dube who was chasing domestic market share to compete with IndiGo in ...Jump to post
Jet Airways CEO, Vinay Dube has resigned following the resignation of CFO, Amit Agrawal. Curious to see his next stop. If in India ; GoAir seems ideal, since they haven't yet filled up their top exec posts. I think his services will be better used outside India. In a country with underlying structu...Jump to post

I just think the pieces of Jet that have value should be sold off so the banks can recover money and value that was created is not lost. This has been repeated ad nauseam. What are the pieces of Jet that have value? What exactly should the banks have sold in a timely fashion? Please provide respons...Jump to post
From blaming NG, you seem to now blame pax for an airlines failure. Interesting. No. That was my response to the complaint that Jet's demise was leading to a time waste for frequent fliers 9W's long hauls were most profitable for them. Citation needed. If PSBs sell-off valuable assets, how will GoI...Jump to post
Time is there for everyone to waste after all !! Now corps will fly the longer route one stop too. That's what most of the people here want i e literally gift the entire int'l traffic from India to ME3 . Who cares whether it's good for India in the long run or is it a missed opportunity ! Who cares about DXB and SIN. Those are the only cities that are maxed out and the only cities the airlines are talking about. That said, Those will get sorted. I have been talking about true long haul wide body flying. EU, USA, Canada could all be started today if Spice and Indigo wanted. Those are...Jump to post

Spice and Indigo have totally flailed in coming up with a plan to replace Jet’s international capacity. Jet had $3.83 Billion(27,000 Crores) in annual revenue. 23,000 Jobs (150,000 including family members) Whatever Jet was spending was adding to the economy. Whatever employees were spending added to the economy. That is gone forever. Indian Taxpayers lost 8,500 Crores anyway. The hypothetical saving...Jump to post
And he lacks that concern too; of trying to recover the money. That's my point. The video and the way he speaks about it, suggests it all. So no need to hail the great banker here. I also fail to see what's so right about him and his attitude. Because in the grand scheme of things of Indian banking...Jump to post
Ya, but his comment was, Jet's NPA is not worth discussing compared to his gross NPAs. That is contrary to a.net financial experts consensus opinion, "this is huge". It is 7 bps. A tiny amount. And that SBI chairman clearly doesn't seem to care whether Jet survives or not, or whether the loans turn NPA's or not, afterall it's a tiny amount compared to the NPA's from other bankrupt cos. or fraud individuals. ;) This is Indian banking and their heads with the most lackadaisical attitude and...Jump to post

If anything, Jet's shutdown has affected small town residents the most. Try flying now from Vadodara or Coimbatore to Europe/Amreeka. Taking the big picture view, I speculate that 5000km was to also limit to widebody flights for these regs were written before NEO/MAX exceeded promise (to others, real range < 85% brochure range).
